Thank you for welcoming me into this position. I look forward to the journey ahead and to the positive impact we can create together.

GOLDEN GRADUATION
Alumni from the Class of 1974 returned to campus for a series of events designed to honor their accomplishments and rekindle cherished memories.

The festivities kicked off with a delightful brunch hosted by Chancellor Greg Kegel, who expressed his gratitude to the alumni for their contributions to the university and their communities. The Graduates shared stories about their days on campus and the friendships that have endured through the years. It was an opportunity to reconnect with old classmates and reflect on the experiences that shaped their lives. Many alumni fondly recalled late-night study sessions, memorable professors, and the vibrant campus life that defined their time at NMC.
The highlight of the weekend was a special dinner attended by the Golden Grads, Foundation staff, and board members. They engaged in discussions about ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting students and enhancing the university experience. The Golden Grads expressed enthusiasm about how they could contribute to future generations, echoing the sentiment that their time at Northern was fundamental to their personal and professional success.
The weekend culminated in a walk down memory lane during the commencement ceremony. Graduates participated in a symbolic procession, reminiscent of their own graduation day 50 years ago. The sight of caps and gowns brought back a wave of emotion, as attendees celebrated not only their shared past but also the bright futures of today’s graduates.
As the weekend came to a close, many alumni expressed a renewed commitment to their alma mater, eager to give back and support the next wave of MSU-Northern students.
With smiles, hugs, and promises to stay in touch, the Golden Graduates left the campus with hearts full of memories and a sense of pride in their lasting connection to the university.
