THE NEED FOR CHANGE

Fall is upon us! 2024 is almost gone (hard to believe), and 2025 will be here before we know it. Fall is a season of considerable change. The temperatures drop (thank goodness), the grass and leaves change colors, and the aroma of pumpkin spiced lattes fills the cool, crisp air.

Over the years, one thing I have learned about success is that change is a necessity. I have also learned that life is much more enjoyable when you embrace that change. Welcome it with open arms! Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, once said, “The only constant in life is change.” We might as well get used to it.

The interesting thing about humans is that many people, arguably most people, are unhappy with one or many areas of their lives, but they don’t truly pursue change. Even though one may be unhealthy, in a bad relationship, hating their career…the discomfort, and specifically, the unknown that comes with change, is more uncomfortable than the circumstances they find themselves in. At least they are familiar with being unhealthy, in that bad relationship, or in that career that they despise. In a weird way, we find a false sense of peace with the familiar, and we tend to stay stuck there.

Unfortunately, for most, it takes an immense amount of pain to change. Since we need change to move forward in this life, that means, in many ways, that trials and tribulations are also a necessity of life. Someone recently said to me that there are only two energies in the universe… love and fear. The only reason God created fear was that it would push us to choose and chase after love. On the other side of chaos and pain is positive change and immense joy.

As we go through this seasonal change, and as the world continues to get crazier and crazier, and we go through our own personal struggles…I encourage you not to lose hope but to stay focused, keep moving forward, and have faith. Because on the other side of everything we are going through is a beauty that we have never known.

See you on the other side of change!

Kash rising star

Tavakoli

FROM ATHLETE TO REAL ESTATE ACE

Kash Tavakoli’s story is one of perseverance, passion, and a commitment to helping others achieve their dreams. From his early days navigating life as a newcomer to the United States to becoming a top-producing real estate agent in the competitive North Dallas market, Kash’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

Originally from Iran, Kash moved to Plano, Texas, at the age of 16. The transition was anything but easy. “Navigating life as a teenager in a new country without knowing the language was extremely difficult,” he recalls. To find a sense of belonging, Kash joined the soccer team at Plano West Senior High School. It was through soccer that he built friendships and found his place in the community. That determination to overcome obstacles would shape his future in ways he didn’t yet realize.

Before becoming a real estate agent, Kash pursued a path that seemed worlds apart from the one he’s on today. He was a personal trainer and had set his sights on a career in medicine, with years of schooling dedicated to that pursuit. But life had other plans. Letting go of his dream of working in the medical field was, as Kash puts it, “one of the biggest challenges of my life.” Yet, he reflects with clarity,

“In hindsight, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

In August 2020, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kash took a leap of faith into real estate. While transitioning from personal training to real estate was no small feat, Kash credits his previous experience as a business owner for giving him a strong foundation. “Having a personal training business before getting into real estate was a tremendous help,” he says. “I already had a foundational knowledge of what to do; I just had to learn the other aspects of real estate.”

Today, Kash is a REALTOR® with Douglas Elliman Real Estate, a member of The Tracy Tutor Team, and a top producer. His rise in the industry has been swift, and he attributes much of his success to his dedication to his clients. “What sets me apart from other agents is my communication,” Kash explains. “I can help a first-time homebuyer navigate their first purchase, but I also excel at more difficult topics. I always help my clients get to the finish line.”

Kash’s approach to real estate goes beyond simply closing deals—he builds relationships. In fact, many of his clients have become close friends. “The most rewarding part of my business has been having my clients

become some of my closest friends,” he shares. For Kash, real estate is not just a job; it’s a passion. He is committed to ensuring his clients feel supported and cared for throughout the process. “I treat my clients like family,” he says proudly. “I strive to give them the best customer experience.”

But like many new agents, Kash had to learn how to balance his personal and professional life. “As a new REALTOR®, I felt like I had to answer my clients at all times,” he admits. Over time, however, he learned the importance of setting boundaries to avoid burnout. This balance is crucial for Kash, not only for his well-being but also for maintaining the high level of service he provides to his clients.

Kash’s success in real estate has been recognized by his peers. In 2023, he was named the top producer of his firm, Rad Realty Group LLC, and became a member of their prestigious Millionaire Club. But for Kash, these accolades are just the beginning. His goals for the future include expanding his knowledge of real estate, particularly in the area of development, and continuing to grow his business. “I’m still in the growing phase of my business,” he says. “I would love to learn more about the development side of real estate, as far as planning and building neighborhoods from the ground up.”

Photos

Outside of real estate, Kash is an adventurer at heart. He enjoys running and biking, and recently discovered the thrill of mountain biking. It’s no surprise that a man who once competed on Season 9 of American Ninja Warrior thrives in challenging environments. His love for fitness and nature provides him with an outlet to unwind and recharge after the demands of a busy real estate career.

Looking ahead, Kash has big plans not only for his career but also for his life. He dreams of building a home with his own design in the next two to three

portfolio of rental properties to provide for his family. “Through real estate, I’ve made great friends and business partners,” he says.

“As I plan for my retirement, I hope to have enough rental properties to live off of, to provide for my family, and to help others by donating.”

As Kash reflects on his journey, he is filled with gratitude for the support of his family, especially his father, who always encouraged him to follow his dreams. Though he lost his father this year, Kash knows he would be proud of him. “I know he would be proud of who I’ve become and the goals I’ve set for myself,” Kash says.

world, Kash offers this piece of advice: “To survive the difficulties of being an agent, one must always be available for their clients and easy to reach.” It’s a philosophy that has clearly worked for him as he continues to build a reputation as one of the top agents in Dallas.

With his passion for excellence, commitment to his clients, and vision for the future, Kash Tavakoli is a name to watch in the real estate world. His story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that, with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

TIDY MAIDS

Cleaning with Heart

In a city that’s rapidly growing, it can be difficult to find businesses that remain true to their local roots. That’s not the case for Ana Pastor-Munoz and Timothy Borden, owners of Tidy Maids of Frisco. For the past eight and a half years, they’ve been serving the Frisco community with honor, excellence, and a deep commitment to helping others. Their business isn’t just about cleaning homes and offices—it’s about providing value, building relationships, and creating a lasting legacy.

Tidy Maids of Frisco specializes in residential and commercial cleaning services, with a focus on pre-sale, move-in, and moveout cleanings. They also offer professional carpet, tile, and grout cleaning, making them a one-stop shop for maintaining homes and businesses. From Real Producers looking to get a property showready to homeowners in need of regular maintenance, Ana and Timothy have built a reputation for reliability and care.

Their motto, “Real People, Real Service, Real Local,” speaks volumes about their business approach. “We are a Frisco family-owned company, and when you call for service, you’ll speak with real people who live and work here,” says Ana. It’s this local presence, coupled with a strong desire to serve their community, that sets them apart from other cleaning companies. “Frisco is the only word capitalized in our company name for a reason,” Timothy adds. “We believe in honoring the community we love with our work.”

The Heart of Service

Ana and Timothy’s passion for service is evident in every aspect of their business. “We have a heart for helping others, and that shows throughout the entire process,” says Ana. From the first phone call to the completion of the service, customer satisfaction is their top priority. Whether it’s a REALTOR® needing a quick turnaround for a showing or a homeowner preparing for a big move, Tidy Maids of Frisco ensures that each job is done with meticulous attention to detail.

This dedication to service has earned them the trust of local real estate agents, who regularly rely on them to make homes look their best. “We not only get properties show-ready with our cleaning services but also help avoid costly replacements by cleaning and removing stains from carpets, tile, and grout,” explains Timothy. It’s this added value that makes them an ideal fit for top producers looking for a cleaning company they can rely on.

A Family Business with a Legacy Tidy Maids of Frisco is more than just a business to Ana and Timothy— it’s a family affair. Their daughter, Angela, serves as the office manager, handling sales and customer service. Their niece, Yessenia, is a client services representative, and they have a loyal team, including their field manager, Eduardo, and field supervisor, Niulys, who provide on-the-job training and ensure quality control.

“As a family, we believe in building a wonderful legacy for future generations,” says Ana. “We want to create something that not only serves our community but also lasts.”

For Ana, who hails from Spain, and Timothy, who grew up in the area, their journey to owning a successful business is one filled with faith and purpose. Ana initially came to the U.S. as a foreign exchange student, never imagining that she would end up co-owning a business, let alone being married for nearly 28 years with two daughters and two grandsons. Ana’s background in tourism and hospitality, coupled with years of corporate experience in sales and marketing, provided her with the skills to oversee the business. Timothy, with his degrees in music production and a background in IT and management, handles the company’s systems and oversees the carpet, tile, and grout divisions.

The couple’s shared faith plays a central role in their lives and their business. “At a church volunteer meeting, Timothy said out loud, ‘I will clean the toilets in this building. I just want to serve,’” recalls Ana. It was a moment that captured their heart for service and has stayed with them throughout their journey. As Timothy puts it, “In ancient times, King Solomon asked for wisdom; I asked for toilets, and God blessed us both.”

Building Success through Service

The success of Tidy Maids of Frisco can be attributed to their unwavering focus on service and their commitment to operating with honor and excellence. “We truly care about our customers and everyone who does business with us,” says Ana. “When you call us, we’re always there to help.”

This personal touch, combined with their local presence, makes a world of difference for their clients. “We handle everything locally, which makes it easier for our customers. There’s no need to worry about coordinating multiple services— we do it all.”

For Ana and Timothy, success isn’t just about profit margins; it’s about adding value and creating a positive impact in their community. “We define success by operating daily with a focus on service, honor, and a positive attitude while being profitable and adding value,” says Timothy. It’s a mindset that has carried them through the challenges of running a business and has earned them the loyalty of their clients.

Looking Ahead

We handle everything locally, which makes it easier for our customers. There’s no need to worry about coordinating multiple services — we do it all.

When they’re not working, the couple enjoys spending time with their family—whether it’s swimming in their pool with their grandkids, volunteering at their local church, or supporting their daughter’s high school marching band. For Ana and Timothy, family and community are at the heart of everything they do.

In a world where businesses come and go, Tidy Maids of Frisco stands as a testament to what can be achieved when service, honor, and excellence are the guiding principles. “We’re here to serve, and we do it with heart,” says Timothy. And with that heart, they continue to make Frisco a cleaner, brighter place for everyone.

As they look to the future, Ana and Timothy are excited about the continued growth of their business. Their goal is to serve even more REALTORS® and property owners in the Frisco area, adding value and helping them achieve their goals. “We look forward to working with REALTORS® and helping them with their business,” says Ana. “We’re here to add value and make their jobs easier.”

ERIN

cover story

POEHLER HEATHER CLIFFORD

In real estate, finding success requires more than just market knowledge and negotiation skills — it takes heart, resilience, and a love for building relationships.

Heather Poehler and Erin Clifford, co-founders of The Luxury Collective (TLC Realty) at Keller Williams Realty in North Dallas, define their careers by these qualities. Together, they’ve built a thriving business based on dedication to their clients, passion for the industry, and a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities they’ve been given.

Heather and Erin are seasoned professionals who bring their unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to their work. Heather, who has always considered her job “a gift,” feels truly blessed to have been able to build a career that not only provides for her family but also allows her to form meaningful connections with clients. “I love and appreciate my clients who have trusted me throughout the years and have come back to work with me multiple times. It’s been more than I could have ever imagined,” she shares.

Erin wholeheartedly shares Heather’s belief in the importance of relationships. Growing up in Dallas and the small town of Wolfe City in northeast Texas, Erin’s diverse life experiences, including her work in her family’s small business and the apparel industry after college, equipped

her with essential skills for success. Since starting her real estate career in 2012, she has prioritized building solid connections with her clients and teammates. “The most rewarding aspect of this business is the relationships we build,” Erin states. “I’ve had the privilege of witnessing both the triumphs and challenges of my clients and teammates. The perspective allows me to appreciate the full spectrum of life, and being a small part of someone’s journey is truly an honor.” Erin approaches each interaction with empathy and professionalism, recognizing that real estate transactions can be significant life events.

Heather is also a native Texan, born in the Houston area and moved to Dallas when she was in kindergarten. She has lived in the area ever since. “I grew up in Richardson, graduated from Berkner, and then went to

college at Stephen F Austin.” After college, Heather entered the hospitality industry until she became a stay-at-home mom for the next ten years. She then decided to try real estate. “I still wanted to be as much of a full-time mom as I could by while transitioning back into the workforce outside the home, and real estate allowed me to set my own schedule,” she adds.

Real estate proved to be the perfect fit for Erin and Heather as they are both committed to building long-term relationships, which sets them apart from others in the industry. Erin particularly enjoys working with multiple generations of the same family. “It’s so special when I help clients, their children, and extended family members. What an honor to be the ‘REALTOR® of Choice’ for a family!”

Overcoming Challenges Together

Success in real estate doesn’t come without its challenges. Erin and Heather have both faced obstacles along the way, but their resilience and grit have propelled them forward. Erin reflects on the difficulty of starting her business: “Getting the business up and running was no easy feat. It takes time, hustle, and a lot of grit,” they share.

teammates. The perspective allows me to appreciate the full spectrum of life, and being a small part of someone’s journey is truly an honor.

Heather, too, has faced her own challenges, particularly balancing the demands of her career with the needs of her family. She is a busy mom to her four children and two step-children. “I am so thankful for my husband and family who put up with me working crazy hours,” Heather says. “Their love, support, patience, and grace mean the world to me.”

Both women also share an understanding of personal loss. Erin’s life was profoundly shaped by the loss of one of her twins, Christopher, shortly after they were born. “I don’t know that I’ll ever completely overcome losing him, but I know where he is, and that gives me great peace. Stevie, now 16, is pure joy and living a great life for both of them.”

Their shared experiences of overcoming personal and professional hurdles have made them stronger leaders, both in their business and personal lives. As Erin emphasizes, “We’re a great seasoned team to be associated with—and fun people!”

A Culture of Support and Success

At the heart of The Luxury Collective is a strong culture of

support and collaboration. Erin is passionate about ensuring that each team member feels heard and valued. “Our team’s culture is something I’m incredibly proud of,” she says. “We stay educated and confident about the changing landscape in the real estate industry so we can give our clients the best information possible when making decisions.”

I’m grateful that I’ve been able to build a successful career in real estate and provide for my family beyond what I thought was possible.

Heather and Erin’s commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. They have both been recognized as a D Magazine Top Producer every year since 2018, earning a loyal client base that continues to grow along the way. Together, they’ve made it their mission to achieve great success and create a positive and supportive environment for their clients and their team.

Heather feels immense gratitude for her career. “I’m grateful that I’ve been able to build a successful career in real estate and provide for my family beyond what I thought was possible,” she says. This sense of gratitude drives both women to work harder every day, not just for their own success but for the success of everyone they work with.

Looking Forward

As they look ahead, Erin and Heather have big goals for The Luxury Collective. Their sights are set on growing the team’s closed volume to $100 million this year, a goal reflecting both their ambition and commitment to excellence. But for Erin, success is about more than just hitting numbers. “Success to me

includes raising my daughter to be a good human, being a great wife, happy clients, and doing what I love, selling real estate.”

Heather and Erin’s story is about passion, resilience, and dedication. Together, they’ve created a thriving

real estate business focused on achieving financial success and building meaningful relationships with their clients, teammates, and families. For them, real estate is more than a career—it’s a calling, one that they feel blessed to answer every single day.

Heather says, “I feel so fortunate to do this for a living.” With their shared passion and commitment to excellence, Heather and Erin are leaving an indelible mark on the North Dallas real estate community, one client at a time.

Austin

PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST

& INSPERITY Moothart

For Austin Moothart, district manager at Insperity, success isn’t just about meeting quarterly goals or providing clients with the typical payroll and benefits services. Instead, it’s about forming lasting, meaningful relationships with the businesses he serves. “I care about the people I have the opportunity to work with and help,” he shares. “I am looking to make longterm connections. Insperity is not just a transactional payroll/benefits/ HR provider; we are a true partner and want to be involved for the long term.”

A life-long Oregonian, Austin’s journey to Texas began with his strong belief in Insperity’s mission. He graduated from Oregon State University with a BA in psychology and worked for Insperity for two-and-a-half years before leaving for a sales management position at another company for 15 years. When a leadership opportunity arose in Insperity’s Dallas office, he decided to relo cate to the area for a growth opportunity with the company. “DFW offers so much potential for partnering with small to mid-sized businesses,” he explains. It wasn’t just professional prospects that drove the move; Austin and his wife also recently welcomed their first child, adding to the excitement of a new chapter. “Right now, we’re spending a lot of time with our new addition to the family and our seven-year-old golden retriever, Franklin.”

of services from payroll and benefits to risk management and talent development. “We partner with companies that have a ‘getting better agenda,’” Austin says. “We give them the tools they need so they can focus on growth and gain the upper hand in the marketplace.”

What makes Insperity stand out in a crowded field of HR service providers? According to Austin, it’s the combination of a personalized approach with top-tier technology and benefits. “We provide a

team of specialists for your employees to reach out to when they need support. We always put your people and their experience first,” he emphasizes.

“Insperity is certified by the IRS, so we take our responsibility to our clients to another level. Combine our unmatched service with powerful HR technology, and managing your most important asset—your people—gets a whole lot easier.”

Austin leads a team of business performance advisors in the Dallas office who act as consultants, advising C-suite level professionals on their HR solutions to help them solve their business challenges. One such advisor is Tami Kirby, a former REALTOR® with 20 years of previous HR experience. She advises clients

on strategy, elevating their business resources function, and she can often be seen at Real Producers events.

Austin is passionate about the work Insperity does, not only for the businesses it serves but for the communities it helps strengthen. “I love how we give businesses peace of mind that their people are being taken care of with great resources,” he says. Beyond their services, Insperity is dedicated to giving back. “We love partnering up for good causes,” Austin adds, highlighting the company’s commitment to the local community.

At the heart of Insperity’s philosophy is a simple yet powerful idea: people matter. This focus on human connection is reflected in Austin’s leadership style, both with his team of eight business performance advisors and in his interactions with clients.

“I try to make sure that I am present for my family when I am home and for my team when I am at work,” he explains.

“I also make sure that my team knows who I am outside of work and that I get to know them beyond their roles. It goes a long way—having people on your team who know you more tend to have a stronger commitment, which leads to better performance.”

Mentorship has played a critical role in Austin’s growth as a

leader. He credits much of his success to his boss, Amber, who has guided him through the challenges of his career. “She has shown me through her actions how to be successful at Insperity,” Austin shares. “I think that continuing to work hard even when things don’t go your way, not getting frustrated or sidetracked on things that don’t help your growth, has gone a long way for my success.”

his clients. “Taking care of my family the way my wife and I have envisioned—that’s my definition of success,” he says. “If my work allows me the resources to accomplish that, then I am successful.”

As Austin continues to build connections in DFW, it’s clear that his commitment to people and partnerships will continue to be the driving force

Having a connection at Insperity will offer your network valuable resources, even if they choose not to become a client.

behind his success. For those considering working with Insperity, Austin offers this reassurance: “Having a connection at Insperity will offer your network valuable resources, even if they choose not to become a client. We’re here to support businesses and help them succeed so communities can prosper.” And with Austin leading the way, that vision is already becoming a reality.

We’re here to support businesses and help them succeed so communities can prosper.

Looking ahead, Austin is focused on growing Insperity’s presence in the DFW region while also embracing his role as a new father. “My goals for this year are to grow our brand locally and survive being a new dad,” he says with a laugh. “I also want to create roots in DFW, both professionally and personally.”

When he’s not at work, Austin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling internationally with his wife. He also values the importance of balancing work and life, striving to compartmentalize his time to ensure he’s fully present for his family when he’s home. This balance, he believes, is key to long-term success.

For Austin, success isn’t just about professional achievements; it’s about taking care of the people who matter most—his family, his team, and

Austin and his wife with their new addition.

The platform combines advanced safety features with essential productivity tools, ensuring agents are protected from initial contact to closing while streamlining their day-to-day tasks.

“This year’s Pitch Battle showcased exceptional innovations that are setting new benchmarks in the real estate

sector,” said Dan Weisman, NAR director of innovation strategy. “The ingenuity displayed by Tether RE represents the progressive strides we support at the iOi Summit and NAR’s ongoing efforts to enhance the services provided to real estate professionals and consumers alike. We congratulate Tether RE on their outstanding achievement.”

Tether RE co-founder Vanessa Martin began the winning pitch by highlighting the critical need for enhanced security measures within the real estate industry.

“Last year alone, 30,000 real estate agents were victims of violent crimes,” she said.

Martin explained Tether RE’s core features, including 24-hour safety monitoring, client verification, SOS alerts, proximity safety timers, and fall and crash alerts. Additionally, the platform enhances agent productivity by integrating essential tools such as turn-by-turn

navigation, automatic mileage and expense tracking, and personalized agent branding.

“We are proud of the platform we’ve created, and we know it will help agents when they need it most,” Martin said. “It’s time to focus on what matters because the most important part of any deal is making it home safely.”

Tether RE will be awarded $15,000 and a booth at NAR’s annual conference in November (NAR NXT).

The Pitch Battle’s Crowd Favorite, as voted on by the in-person and virtual audience, was awarded to Tuesday, a social MLS app built exclusively for agents.

Tuesday CEO Coleton Boyer illustrated how the company’s mobile-first approach has streamlined real estate market intelligence into a user-friendly social feed.

“It’s the energy of your Tuesday meeting, the ease of your Instagram feed, and the exact same data you get on the MLS,” Boyer said.

agent spotlight Mike

PUTTING THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE

In the fast-paced world of real estate, some stand out not just for their skills but for their heart. Mike Farish, a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Apex, is one of those agents. With nine years in the business and a career volume of $85 million, Mike’s success isn’t just measured by the deals he’s closed but by the relationships he’s built and the care he puts into every transaction.

Born and raised in Stockton-on-Tees in the northeast of England, Mike’s early years were shaped by family values and community spirit. “My dad was a pastor, and my mum has her own rental business. Growing up, I saw firsthand the importance of helping others,” Mike recalls. These values followed him across the ocean when he moved to Texas at the age of 24. Armed with a degree in sport studies from York St. John University and international experience studying kinesiology at Michigan State University, Mike was prepared to embrace new opportunities.

His early career wasn’t in real estate, though. Before jumping into the world of property, Mike spent time working as a volunteer for a soccer ministry, offering free coaching to children from underprivileged backgrounds. “We organized camps

for refugees and kids from Title 1 schools—those who couldn’t financially afford coaching,” he says. That sense of service and giving back has been a thread throughout Mike’s life and career, and it’s one of the reasons his clients trust him implicitly.

When Mike made the transition into real estate in March 2015, it didn’t take long for him to realize where his passion lay: the people. “It may sound cliché, but I don’t think you can be successful in this industry if you don’t have a heart to truly know and do the best for the people you meet,” Mike explains. And it’s not just his clients who benefit from this perspective. “Some of my closest friends started out as clients, or other REALTORS®, or even people from mortgage and title companies I’ve worked with. Real estate has given me the opportunity to build relationships that go beyond business.”

Mike’s approach to real estate is deeply personal, and he is involved in every detail of the process. “I see the transaction through the eyes of my client,” he says. “By taking their perspective, I’m able to figure out what needs to be done to keep the deal moving with the least amount of stress for them.” His clients know they can count on him to deliver results with their best interests at heart.

For Mike, real estate is more than a career—it’s a calling. While he loves problem-solving and negotiating deals, what really drives him is the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of those he works with.

“Success for me is striking a balance where professional achievements ignite your passion, and your family moments bring joy,” Mike shares. This balance is key to his personal and professional philosophy. It’s clear that Mike strives for more than just financial success; he seeks a life rich in meaning and connection.

Being the agent that was fun, always had other people’s best interests at heart, and someone you knew you could rely on — that’s what I want to be remembered for.

Of course, like any career, real estate comes with its challenges. For Mike, the toughest battle has been managing his mental health. “I suffer from anxiety at times,” he admits, “and it’s been incredibly tough, especially being the sole provider for my family in such a competitive, commission-based industry.” Over time, Mike has developed tools and strategies to keep his mental well-being in check, but he is candid about the struggles he has faced. “Battling against myself mentally has by far been the hardest challenge I’ve had to work through.”

Despite these personal hurdles, Mike’s determination and passion for his work shine through. His clients often comment on his dedication and his ability to make even the most stressful situations manageable. “Being the agent that was fun, always had other people’s best interests at heart, and someone you knew you could rely on—that’s what I want to be remembered for,” he says.

Mike’s career is marked by consistent excellence, with accolades like being featured in D Magazine Producers since 2018. His goal this year is to hit $16.5 million in produc tion and branch out more into the luxury sector of the market. But, even with these ambitious targets, Mike never loses sight of what matters most: his clients and his family. “My wife, Amy, and I have been married for ten years, and we have two boys— Matthew and Jack. We love doing life together, whether it’s traveling, playing sports, or just spending time by the pool,” he says with a smile.

nity, regularly playing drums, bass, and guitar at Sunday services.

Through it all, Mike’s guiding principle remains simple: “Hustle; hustle hard. Put other people’s interests before your own, and be patient. It’ll happen!” It’s advice that has served him well and continues to shape his approach to life and business. And for Mike Farish, the best is yet to come.

REALTOR® on the rise

Making Connections Hannah Ewing

Hannah Ewing always imagined that her path might someday lead to a career in real estate. As a real estate agent with Acquisto Real Estate, she’s found the right balance between family, career, and a deep passion for building relationships. “My number one value is relationships,” Hannah says with a smile. “Real estate has given me a career where I can be there for my family and where I’m constantly meeting new people and becoming friends with clients.”

Born in California and having lived in McKinney for the past 15 years, Hannah began her real estate journey in 2019. Prior to real estate, she majored in home furnishings and merchandising at the University of North Texas, which led to a brief career in design. After that, she transitioned into financial planning, spending 15 years helping clients achieve their financial goals. “I obtained my Series 7, Series 66, and life and health insurance designations,” she explains. “It was a challenging but rewarding career.”

However, when her twin boys were born, followed by her third son shortly after, Hannah faced a pivotal moment. “We had three boys under two years old, and I felt like we were missing out on that special time with them,” she recalls. “So, I made the difficult decision to sell my financial planning practice and stay home until they started school.” During those years, she frequently pondered her next career move and eventually, real estate became the answer.

Real estate offered her the perfect blend of entrepreneurship, creativity, and relationship-building that she had always thrived on. “I loved the relationships I developed with my financial planning clients, and I

knew I could carry that into real estate,” she shares. “I wanted a balance between work and family, and real estate gave me that.”

Hannah’s background in design and financial planning has also uniquely prepared her to excel in the industry. She recalls a memorable client from her financial planning days who reached out for help selling his outdated home. “He trusted me completely, and I was excited to work with him again,” Hannah explains. “We updated the house—new kitchen, bathrooms, paint, light fixtures— and it sold for a record price in the neighborhood. It was so rewarding to see how all the pieces of my professional life came together.”

For Hannah, real estate is about connections. She often hosts events and parties to bring people together, fostering the relationships that drive her business forward. “Hosting parties is a way for me to connect people and give back to those who support me, my family, and my business,” she says. One such event, a Halloween Party, has become a beloved tradition among her friends and clients. “Everyone dresses up in the best costumes, and we have so much fun!” Another fun event Hannah did was a “Ropers Romp” in Downtown McKinney, where they all dressed up as Mrs. Roper from “Three’s Company.”

Beyond her professional life, Hannah is always up for adventure. A self-described “free-spirited gypsy at heart” who loves the 70s, bell bottoms, and vintage turquoise jewelry, she can always be talked into taking a road trip, stopping at a flea market, or making a fun cocktail.

Hannah finds joy in the constant learning and adaptability the industry requires. “Every transaction teaches me

something new,” she notes.

“The market is always changing, and with different homes, personalities, and challenges, you never know which skills will be put to the test.” Hannah also dedicates herself to honing her communication skills, believing that clear and empathetic conversations are key to a successful transaction.

“If we can really listen to what our clients and the other party want and then communicate effectively, the whole process feels smooth to the client.”

Hannah defines success not by accolades or sales volume, but by the trust and connection she builds with her clients.

“Success is when family, friends, and clients consider me their real estate expert,” she says. “When someone calls me to share a real estate story or ask for advice, that’s the biggest compliment.”

Her passion for relationships is also reflected in her loyalty to Acquisto Real Estate. “Mike and Shana Acquisto have been like family to me since day one,” she shares. “Shana has been an incredible mentor, always helping me grow and supporting my crazy ideas.” One such idea led the duo on an unforgettable road trip through California, where they networked with REALTORS® and even landed Hannah two referral clients.

As for her future, Hannah has big goals, including obtain ing her broker’s license and continuing to deepen her roots in McKinney. “I love McKinney and think it’s the best place to live and raise a family,” she says. “It’s grown so much over the years, but it still feels like a community.” And while her journey in real estate may have only started five years ago, it’s clear that Hannah Ewing is here to stay, building a legacy rooted in relationships, trust, and the joy of making connections.

“Take every opportunity that comes your way, big or small,” Hannah advises to those just starting in real estate. “You never know what will come from the work you do.” And she always thinks about the advice from Mike Acquisto: “People need to know, like and trust you. If you can achieve that, success will follow.”

“Hannah is so personable and blends her financial background with her passion for real estate, delivering excep tional results for her clients.

As my best friend and travel partner in countless adventures, we not only excel in our work together but also manage to turn every work trip into a fun-filled escapade.” - Shana Acquisto, Acquisto Real Estate. Sales Manager
