Use our lobby recycle bins to drop off household batteries, eyeglasses, cell phones, snack and candy wrappers, and more. www.northbrook.info/recycle.
Access library materials from around the country
We are a fine-free library, which means we don’t charge fines on overdue materials. (You are still responsible for the cost of any lost items.)
We have computers for adults in our Reference department, and computers for kids and teens in our Youth Services department.
If you’re looking for an item that we don’t currently have, we can get it for you through interlibrary loan.
Visit the Collaboratory, our makerspace, and learn to use specialized equipment to etch, embroider, carve, sew, and more, plus equipment to create new media and digitize your older media. www.northbrook.info/collaboratory.
There are many study options on the 2nd and 3rd floors. You can also reserve a study room online or stop by the Reference desk for assistance
The copier on our 2nd floor accepts cash or credit cards. (There is no charge to scan or fax documents.)
