Christmas Procession had bushfires, excitement and entertainment THE St. Arnaud Christmas Procession was held on Friday 20th December and although we are only now reporting on it after a break over Christmas/New Year, the evening was memorable once again. On an evening that was remembered as having a rather eerie smokey air that descended upon Napier Street due to the bushfires in the Grampians National Park. The orange-bushfire air did not dampen the enthusiasm of participants and onlookers, with children rushing onto Napier Street to pick up lollies thrown by those on floats. The after-procession entertainment was also of a high standard with a large crowd attending with the ice cream van a huge success on the warm evening.
