Norrlands Varjehanda är en av många nations- och studenttidningar i Uppsala. Tillsammans bildar vi Tidningskonventet, ett organ som är en del av Kuratorskonventet. Vi samlas några gånger per terminer, bland annat på Tidningskonventets tidningsgala, där priser delas ut till tidningar som utmärkt sig.

Under det gångna läsåret arrangerades dessutom en skrivartävling, där priset var att publiceras i samtliga studenttidningar som deltar i konventet. Temat var “efter 03:00” och här får du läsa vinnarbidraget!
29 th September After 03:00 We slide off the bus. You just kissed me for the first time, and now we’re walking with the castle smiling over us, and the cathedral strong up ahead. You’re telling me about your own university. I will come to know it well.
15 th October After 03:00 We’ve been messaging every day. I’m reading through the tomes now. I’ve been drinking and I want to hear your voice. So, we talk and it’s lovely.
10 th November After 03:00 You held me tight in my bed in Uppsala yesterday. We ate a lamb’s head and you’re gone now. My songbook is under my pillow. You wrote about how you wished you could sing the serenades to me.
19 th December After 03:00 We’re in London after a night out. We’ve already been stopped once by the police. Of course, so they let us go. We’re on the night bus now and your voice is washing over me as I think back to the start of the evening. We took a boat from Embankment. It glided right past the Houses of Parliament, looming over the River Thames, the London eye dressed up in the background, shining pink. While the water disappeared under us and the wind nipped at my lips and cheeks, we talked relentlessly. The boat ride was over far too soon. And then so was the evening.
22 nd December After 03:00 My hotel reservation ended on the 20 th and resulted in an impromptu meeting of your parents. I wasn’t ready. But now we’re heading back to your parents house after a party where I met your school friends. Apparently I’m your girlfriend. 14
27 th January After 03:00 I’m holding you tight again. We snuck into one of the castle college for lunch today. We walked all the way to the top of the tower and watched the winter sunset. What a moment! Foto: Emma Björk
15 th April After 03:00 I’m crying; you’re angry; we’re both drunk. I told you I love you and you don’t feel the same way. Tomorrow I’ll understand that it was too soon for you.
16 th October After 03:00 We’re at a birthday party. It’s fancy dress, and I’ve met even more of your friends. They are all so lovely and kind. Of course they are; you chose them.
9 th November After 03:00 I haven’t slept. I tried to tell you I love you again. You don’t feel the same way.
10 th November After 03:00 We broke up last night and agreed that when I’m back home we’ll try again. I’m using that as a comforter at the moment. I’m dreaming.
14 th November After 03:00 I submitted an embarrassingly open story to a competition today. I’m mad at you. You’re a fool. I hope you know it.
2 years from now after 03:00 You’re holding me tight again. I finished my studies. I moved to London. You love me, and you’re going to tell me when I wake up.
