This incredible Southern California property designed by Norman Design Group from the ground-up showcases strong horizontal planes projecting from the exterior to the interior through creative uses of board form concrete. The three-level open floor plan serves as the ultimate place to enjoy a cocktail with friends while watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Sleek, contemporary metal and stone detailing, offset by warm wood tones, make this home a contemporary, airy haven for entertainment.
Norman Design Group was responsible for all the interior architectural detailing, furniture, and final accessories. It is an excellent example of our abilities to lead a project from inception to completion while delivering harmonious results.
What we love about this project: entertainment opportunities throughout including a golf simulator, home gym, pickleball court, two jewel box wine cellars, outdoor pool and barbeque, and a stunning top floor kitchen. We also love the eclectic mix of decor, art, and rich fabrics.

The Vision
To create a sculptural staircase that has an architectural presence while also creating an illusion of weightlessness, we pulled the structure away from board form concrete walls. The stairs have a floating effect enhanced by a lack of visual supports.
The Vision
To connect the visual planes of multiple levels, we designed a multi-drop pendant that grounds the central stairwell of the home. The fixture is comprised of elegant hand-blown glass rain drops, with individually specified heights.
The Vision
Through the layering of textures, colors, and materials, we’ve created a strong focal point with a contrasting blackened steel hood and custom polished nickel shelving. By mixing these unique materials, we have created an amazing center focus within the kitchen.

To combine natural materials in an unpredictable way, we incorporated handmade tile, iron, stone, and a unique hand-blown light fixture, creating a strong unison of unexpected materials. It is capped off with an integrated sink, recessed iron mirror, and textured wallcovering.

The bar works to designate a separate entertaining space within the living room, utilizing contrasting materials to become a strong focal point. The raised onyx waterfall countertop separates the two main areas, creating conversational moments throughout the space.

Dark and sophisticated material choices of the fireplace create a moody and masculine living area. These bookcases add a much needed storage requirement while working harmoniously with the fireplace and clerestory windows.

The Vision
Personalized spaces with a cohesive design thread through each room were created by interviewing each teen for their wants, needs, and independent interests so we could then design each bedroom accordingly. You speak, we listen.
The Vision
To create a glowing wine feature that became a signature design element in an underutilized space, we designed a seamless transition of board form concrete and extended the stair details directly into the wine area, creating an impactful moment.
The Vision
Originally inspired by one Edison bulb and backplate, we custom designed a four panel light fixture for additional drama and architecture over our amazing bar.
