This fulfils a longstanding need for disseminating news and information to members of our staff, our partners and wellwishers as well as to the community at large. With this newsletter, we aim at keeping you updated about our work and help you know about our ongoing drive and initiatives for the progress of our dear colleagues and the improvement of the end service to our esteemed guests. Just as newspapers report about the activities, happenings, stories and achievements of a country or a community, we want this publication to be a photography of our life on this wonderful island of Sainte Anne. Elite Employee Award Guidelines Selection at departmental level
11. Eager to learn & develop Elimination process
Nomination of contenders will be made by section Heads and submitted the Head of the Department on scheduled dates. All sections are expected to be represented unless justifiable reasons are given for non-participation, for example if no one meets the standard. The Head of Department may in his opinion include any Head of section in the selection of participants nominated throughout the department and from there select the most deserving candidate to represent the department. Nomination of the candidate will be made by filling the prescribed form and submitting it to the Human Resources Manager who will chair the committee comprising all Heads of Departments. Selection at Committee level At this point in time, the respective Head of Department will present a strong case to support the preferred candidate and may include any supporting evidence to back the contender for the 'Employee Award'. Criteria for selection may include any/all of the following: 1. Excellent work performance 2. Desirable attitude 3. Exemplary behaviour 4. The contender should score at least six (6) out of the seven (7) highlighted items represented by * representing the most essential traits of an outstanding employee. The elimination process will be debated among the Heads of Departments, in the event of a tie between two contenders, the Human Resources Manager reserves the right to make the final choice. The same will apply for selecting the Employee of the Year. Equality of opportunity Considering the nature of work distribution in the hospitality industry, there will be two categories of employees, the front of house and heart of house. Therefore, at the end of each contest, there will be two winners.
