INTRODUCTION
It is hard to believe that we are approaching the significant milestone of our inaugural class of medical students graduating from the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine!
This semester promises to be full of exciting events from Match Day to Capstone, Grad Week, and Commencement. We recognize and appreciate that, as a physician preceptor, you have also been an important part of this journey for our students.
As one of our preceptors, we want you to celebrate with us and our graduates. So we've created this guide to help you plan for the key events leading up to graduation.
And while we’ve aimed to make this guide as comprehensive as possible, we’re here to answer any remaining questions. We look forward to celebrating these significant milestones for our students as a campus community in the months ahead.

THE SPECIFICS
Match Day Celebration
Friday, March 21, 2025, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Match Day is a momentous occasion to celebrate the next chapter in our students’ medical journey. The event will be held on campus, and a digital invitation is available here.
Students have been encouraged to invite members of their immediate family to attend this special event. In celebration of our inaugural Match Day, preceptors are invited to join in this year’s celebration as well.
A remote participation link will be provided for students, their families, employees, and preceptors who are unable to attend in person. This ensures everyone can fully share in the excitement of the day.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large attendance we anticipate for this event, table seating is reserved for our students and their families. Faculty, staff, and preceptors will be directed to standing high-top tables for the event.
Family and Friends Open House
Friday, May 2, 2025, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Many of our graduates’ friends and family members haven’t had the opportunity to visit our new academic building, and we are excited to provide an opportunity for them to come for an open house and self guided tours Preceptors are invited to a
Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, May 3, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Commencement is the pinnacle of our students’ academic journey, symbolizing their official transition from medical student to physician. Preceptors should arrive at 9 a.m. at the UCCU Center on the Utah Valley University campus, to pick up and get dressed in regalia.
All employees holding faculty appointments, Assistant Deans, Associate Deans, Vice Presidents, members of the executive leadership team, and physician preceptors are invited to participate in the academic procession wearing appropriate regalia. Participation in this cherished tradition allows us to celebrate our graduates while highlighting the academic distinction of our institution.
Those who plan to participate in the processional can wear their own regalia or order rental regalia through our partner Herff Jones. Noorda-COM will cover the cost of preceptor rental regalia (see page 6 for more information about ordering regalia).
Those who wish to attend Commencement but not process with the faculty in regalia will have seating reserved in our VIP section (see page 6 for more information and to RSVP).

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
RSVP for Commencement
For those attending Commencement, please use this link to RSVP. We will have reserved seating for our Preceptors and if you plan to process with the faculty, please see below.
Order Regalia (if applicable)
We have partnered with Herff Jones, one of the nation’s premier commencement regalia providers, to offer high-quality rental regalia. To order, simply visit this link and type in our school's name. Then, enter your name, height, and weight to ensure proper sizing, as well as degree and institution. The portal will be open until March 15th, 2025. Rental gowns will be distributed to preceptors on Saturday, May 3rd backstage at the UCCU Center (please arrive at 9 a.m. to pick up regalia at check-in desk. Ushers will direct you backstage to check-in area). Rental regalia must be returned immediately following the Commencement Ceremony – backstage at the UCCU Center).
PLEASE NOTE: The site requires you include a billing address. Please use the school’s address: 2162 South 180 East, Provo UT 84606. You will not be asked to enter credit card information as Noorda-COM is covering this expense.
Nominate a Student to be Spotlighted
To nominate an outstanding graduate to be spotlighted at Commencement, please fill out all fields in the form linked here. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11. Students selected will be spotlighted during the Commencement Ceremony.
