20 20 years
My 20 years at Cell C have been nothing short of amazing. I was drawn in by the early quirky ads and, coming from a banking background, I found Cell C’s vibrant, youthful culture refreshing everything the old environment wasn’t. I started in credit management while finding my path, then moved to reporting, where I was fortunate to work under the inspiring leadership of Kobus Franck. Later, I transitioned into Financial Planning and Analysis, handling forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis Most recently, I’ve been diving into Data Analytics and Pricing a whole new world where I’m learning new skills every day to stay relevant in the era of big data
What I love most is the company’s vibrant culture and nimbleness, and how accessible leadership is even the CEO is approachable like any other employee
My advice to new employees is to enjoy the journey, learn beyond your department, build strong networks, and create genuine relationships
Outside of work, I’m an avid cyclist with a running background and have earned two Comrades medals I also pride myself on defusing tense situations with a smile or a joke, treating everyone with the same respect, regardless of role or rank
With 20 years of experience, my journey at Cell C has been both challenging and rewarding. Navigating the ups and downs has shaped my resilience and sharpened my perspective.
What I enjoy most is being part of a company that, despite being the underdog, celebrates the small wins that drive us forward.
My advice to newcomers: stay flexible, be innovative, and trust the process patience pays off
Outside of work, I’m passionate about business and continuously learning One thing that defines me is my strong resilience it's carried me through every challenge

My Cell C journey began way back in December 2004, starting as a consultant at the Sandton flagship store From there, I moved to the Esher showroom before joining the CSurance team as a claims assessor When that department closed, I transitioned to Retentions, and now I'm working in the ESD department It's been an incredible 20 years of growth and change! What I've enjoyed most about working at Cell C is undoubtedly the people, the culture, and the supportive environment My best advice for new employees starting their journey is simple: do your best, embrace the process, and truly enjoy the journey One of the most significant things I've learned here, something I might not have discovered anywhere else, is the true power of teamwork. Outside of work, I'm passionate about gardening, and here's an interesting fact about me: I'm a very kind person, and I absolutely love dogs.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

It's been an exhilarating 15-year journey with Cell C, full of both challenges and triumphs, but ultimately so rewarding. The strong connections I've made with colleagues have been invaluable. I really appreciate the positive atmosphere and the constant exposure to new ICT knowledge. For those just starting, I'd say embrace continuous learning and actively look for ways to expand your skills. Cell C has taught me the importance of resilience. When I'm not working, you'll find me at the gym, parkrun, or in the garden. And I'm genuinely proud to be part of the Cell C family and excited about the future.
My Cell C journey kicked off way back in January 2009, initially in IT Support for the Western Cape Region, based at Plattekloof. Then, in 2017, I transitioned into my current role as a Channel Support Specialist. It's been an incredible 15 years of growth and evolution!

I also highly value the great balance between work and home life that Cell C fosters. My foremost advice to any new employees starting their journey at Cell C is simple: enjoy what you do, participate actively, and always be open to change. I bring 18 years of experience in the telecoms industry and joined Cell C’s Wholesale Business in 2019 as a Service Delivery Manager In January 2023, I stepped into a new role as the MVNO Principal Onboarding Specialist a fantastic opportunity that has allowed me to grow and contribute even more meaningfully
What I appreciate most about Cell C is the supportive, collaborative culture and the company’s genuine commitment to employee development. The financial support for my studies has made a big impact, and it’s a testament to how much Cell C invests in its people. My advice to new employees: work collaboratively, stay organised, be open to feedback, and always keep a positive attitude. There’s so much to learn from those around you.
One powerful lesson I’ve learned is to shift the mindset from viewing other MNOs as competitors to seeing them as collaborative partners. This perspective has given Cell C access to world-class connectivity while keeping infrastructure costs low.
Outside of work, I love traveling with my family and creating memories together For fun, I enjoy tenpin bowling And a fun fact? I’ve fractured my arms three times and my leg once clearly, I like to keep things interesting!
I joined Cell C in 2015 as a customer care agent and have grown through various roles, including Retentions, Escalations Support, and most recently as a Vendor Management Officer I also assist walk-in customers and took part in the "Be a Ten" upskilling program to expand my skills
What I appreciate most about Cell C is the focus on growth, a fun and welcoming environment, and an open-door policy My advice to new employees is to embrace the positive energy, teamwork, and the value of collaboration and diverse perspectives when tackling challenges.
Outside work, I run a small initiative in my village distributing toiletry packs to those in need, and I absolutely love dogs they’re so energetic and friendly!

For the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of being part of the Cell C family This journey has been transformative, filled with growth, learning, and many cherished memories The environment and the people I work with have made every moment worthwhile, and I truly love it One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at Cell C has been the supportive and caring atmosphere People genuinely care about one another, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie that is both uplifting and motivating This nurturing environment has enabled me to thrive and make the most of every opportunity Baking has always been a passion of mine, and it’s something I’ve been able to share with my colleagues Bringing in homemade treats and participating in bake-offs has become a delightful way to connect with my coworkers and spread joy.I’ve also embraced my stubbornness as a strength. My career journey began with Specpack, where I was responsible for handling contracts at Jet and Edgars. In April 2019, I transitioned to Cell C Walmer Park, and I have been there ever since. This move marked a significant step in my professional growth and has been a rewarding experience. What I enjoy most about working at Cell C is the people I work with. My colleagues are a fantastic team who make the work more manageable and enjoyable. Their support and camaraderie have been invaluable to me. To new employees starting their journey at Cell C, my advice is to learn as much as you can about the systems in place. This knowledge will make your journey easier and help you navigate the complexities of the job more efficiently. One of the most important lessons I've learned at Cell C is that while we may disappoint each other from time to time, the goal remains the same. This insight has taught me the value of perseverance and collective effort. Outside of work, I have developed a keen interest in reading about history. This newfound passion for historical knowledge has been both enlightening and engaging. An interesting or unexpected fact about me is that I get over things easily, but I don't forget. This trait has shaped my approach to both personal and professional relationships
My five years at Cell C have been truly amazing! I've grown and developed so much, not just in my career but also in my personal life during my time here. Building beautiful relationships with so many people has been a highlight, and it genuinely makes working at Cell C a joy. What I appreciate most about being part of this team is the incredible culture and the respect we all have for one another. My best advice for any new employees starting their journey is simple: don't be afraid to throw yourself in the deep end – that's truly how you learn and grow. One significant thing I've learned here that I might not have discovered anywhere else is the importance of adaptability to change. Outside of work, I'm passionate about educational growth, property investment, and most importantly, prioritising self-care And here's an interesting fact about me: I have a mild case of Trypophobia!
The best way to predict the future is to create it together.

Buckle up for a ride like no other – get ready to learn and embrace change! One profound lesson I've learned here that I might not have anywhere else is to always try and potentially fail, as opposed to not trying at all, because in trying, you might just win. Outside of work, I'm passionate about podcasting, and here's a fun fact about me: I am an official Ultra Marathoner!
