Hey Y.Ex’ers, It has been an amazing experience and absolute pleasure to work with you all this spring. Remember the first day, when
everyone was nervous to be embarking on this months-long
journey together in an unused emergency waiting room? But then you played How Many Are There, and trying to think up arts-related careers brought out the strong teamwork skills
that you all possess? Or what what about the excitement in the room during the weeks that you developed work and installed the show? Or, even better, leading in-depth and informative
tours for visitors — whether Y.Ex parents, friends or strangers? Y.Ex has been a wonderful time, and seeing you all grow and learn during the Young Exhibition Makers program has been
fun and formative for us, as well. As we said at the start of the program — we were in this with you. We wanted to learn from you and getting to hear your intelligent insights on art, social issues and life in general has been a priceless and valuable
experience for us. You may be “Young” Exhibition Makers, but more important than your age is the fact that you are strong, brilliant and thoughtful individuals, and we look forward to seeing the great work you will go on to do. For that, we thank you. Mica and Tendaji
