My name is José Luis, I'm 57 years old, I'm Spanish, from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and I live in a flat near Las Canteras Beach.

I'm married since 1982, Carmen is my wife and I have got two children: Carlos and Natalia, 31 and 28 years old.

Carlos is a degree in International Trade and Marketing, and he works at BBVA. He also has a sports center with two friends in Maspalomas, where he plays padel and a new sport called padbol. Natalia is a nurse and works at the Hospital Perpetuo Socorro.

Carlos lives with his girlfriend in Maspalomas, and Natalia with her boyfriend in Las Canteras.

I worked for forty years in a bank, and now I'm retired and I spend my time with my hobbies. I study English on Mondays and Wednesdays, and want to learn to play the guitar. I would like to study Peritia y Doctrina, at University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

I get up at 7.30, then I have breakfast - an orange juice and a cup of milk with honey and gofio and I get dressed and after that I go to the fruit shop to buy fruit and vegetables. At 11.00 I usually eat some almonds and nuts. At 13.15 I watch the news on television, then I have lunch at 14.30. After lunch I go for a walk, and I get home early. At 20.00 I read newspapers and check emails. I have a shower at 21.00, then I have dinner and telephone my children and read for a while. I finally go to bed at 23.30.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, I get up at 6.50, because I go to English classes. I walk to class.

I love travelling, my favourite cities in Europe are Paris, Berlin and Rome. I would like to go back to Paris every year. In a few months, I would like to do Camino de Santiago and also traveling to Helsinki, St. Petersburg and Moscow. I like going for a walk on the beach everyday and doing yoga three days a week.

I like reading novels, the last book I read is Palmeras en la nieve, but I don't like books from some South American authors, as Vargas Llosa and Garcia Marquez.

I like thriller films and romantic comedies, but I hate French and Italian films. My favourite film is El club de los poetas muertos, and my favourite actors are Robin Williams and Hugh Jackman.

I like going to the theatre and Auditorium for concerts, musicals and plays.

I like jazz and soul music, my favourite songs are What a wonderful world, by Louis Armstrong, and Imagine, by John Lennon. I hate heavy metal music. I love sports, especially football and basketball, I like going to Gran Canaria Arena every two weeks to watch the games of Herbalife Gran Canaria.

At the weekends, I like going to the restaurants with my friends, I like all kind of food, and I like going for a walk and swimming in the sea, and watching football games on TV with my family. I hate going shopping.

Loli is my friend, she’s 43 years old, but looks younger. She’s Spanish, she’s from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and lives in a flat in the city centre. She’s married but she doesn’t have children.

She gets up at 8.00, then she has a shower, and at 8.30 she has breakfast - a toast and milk with cereals - and after that she does the housework. At 11.00 she has a coffee. She has lunch at 13.30 and she watches the news on television at 14.00. At 17.00 she usually has a second coffee and at 20.00 she reads newspapers and checks emails. Then she has dinner at 21.30 and finally she goes to bed about 22.30.

She doesn’t work, she’s unemployed, but studies English on Mondays and Wednesdays, and she also studies for a competitive exam. She likes pop music, but she doesn’t have a favourite singer. Her favourite books are the novels, and she likes thrillers and romantic films.

She likes traveling also. She likes sports and she plays tennis and swimming.

At the weekends, she likes going for a walk and going shopping. She has a friends’ meeting. She goes to restaurant because she loves Mediterranean food, but she hates Japanese food.

She likes romantic and comedy films but she doesn´t like horror films, she likes going to the cinema, the disco, the beach and staying with her friends but she doesn´t like sports.

My name's Manuel Zuñiga and I turned sixty five last September. I am from Arcos de la frontera in Cadiz, and arrived in Gran Canaria from Barcelona to do military service as a parachutist. When I finished that period, I worked with an arquitect, and a construction company.

I always get up at 6.30 a.m.and after that I have a shower.Later, I have breakfast with a little coffe,toast bread and butter. Sometimes, I do exercise and walk to school. I am married with a canary woman, and we have two beautiful children, their names are Idaira and Davinia. They don't have children, but they love children and they are very good teachers. My daughter Idaira works in las Palmas and Davinia in Lanzarote island.

At weekends we go for a little walk in Canteras beach, and I like to eat in restaurants with my family but my daughter doesn't like to eat out sometimes. We go out to visit any other places too.

I like very much all sports, but my favourite is football. Paco de Lucía is my favourite guitarist and I love flamenco music in general. Cooking is another hobby and I spend many hours cooking for my family. I like to learn new recipes.

I speak Spanish but I am learning English because I like to speak with people from other countries and I have some foreign friends.

My friend’s name is Lola, she is thirty years old. She is married and she doesn't have children, but she has two brothers and one sister. Her sister is younger and her brothers are older. Lola is Spanish and lives in Las Palmas and she works in her house because she is a housewife. Spanish is not the only language that she speaks. She can speak other languages, for example: French and German. she goes to french classes and she does french homework .

My friend doesn't cook but she likes going to restaurants. When she can, she likes tasting different meals from different countries. Her favourite music is flamenco but she likes arabic music too. at the evening she takes the dog for a little walk. before make the dinner she has a relaxing bath. Hello, my name is Monica ,I was born in Medellin(Colombia),I arrive in Gran Canaria in December 1999. Sometimes I am going to Colombia on holiday ,but I haven’t been there since 2010. I have a sister and my mother is retired,I live with my mate, Javier, I am happy.

My favourite day of the week is Saturday because I stay in bed for a long time. I love romantic music and dance in the disco, but I sweat a lot.

After I have a shower and I have breakfast. The English classes start at eight o’clock and finish at ten o’clock. I get home at half past ten, I get dressed and I go to the gym, but sometimes I’m tired and I rest at home. When I finish to work I like watching T.V. and I check my emails. I love Mexican food but I hate cooking. At the weekends I like watching T.V., going to the beach, to the cinema, listening to music (I love Spanish pop music). Juan Manuel is one of my favourite friends. He’s 61 years old and he’s from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He’s tall, his hair is ash colour and wears glasses. He’s married and has a daughter. He has a dog too. He has an old white car for more than thirty years. He’s retired but he worked at the Gran Canaria airport. He gets up late. He hates wake up early.

He doesn’t like smoking cigarettes, politicians from Tenerife and cats but he loves his dog. He takes his dog for long walks. At weekends he usually goes to the Gran Canaria stadium, walks along the beach or goes to barbecue with his family.

I get home late at 8:30 as my dinner and I go to bed a watching T.V. I like the news but also see some series.

On Tuesday and Thursday I wake up at 9:30 but I start work at 11:00 and I having time for shower, dressed and breakfast.

On Friday and Saturday I wake up at 8:00 and I get ready very fast because I start work at 9:00 but every Saturday finish work at 3:00. In general after working I enjoy of giving a walk.

Every Sunday morning I like to listen music while I´m housework a cleaning; at 12:00 I do the lunch and I go to bed to a watching T.V. but also I speak my husband on the current importance and the things that have happened during the week.

Hello everybody, my name´s Angel, I´m twenty-eight years old, I´m Spanish, I´m from Gran Canaria and live in Telde. I live with my parents in a flat, I have two brothers and one sister, I´m single, I´m an assistant manager and an English student.

I´m an assistant manager in a surf shop, I work at Las Terrazas Shopping Centre, in Telde, I don´t have special qualification. Everyday I go to work by car and my days off are usually on Wednesdays and Sundays but that can change. At Christmas I work everyday: on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I work a lot on those days.

I like many things, I like going to the beach, to the cinema, to bed late, walking, doing exercises, reading books, listening music, internet, chinese food, fast food, sweets, studying, shopping, driving, traveling, geting up eight o´clock and many things more..

I don´t like few things, I don´t like the cold, rain, cats, doing homework, doing the housework, working at Weekends and flying by plane.

My Weekend is very short, only Sundays, because I work on Saturday mornings and iafternoos, so I do very few things on Sundays: I walk with my friends, I go to the beach, to the cinema, I eat with my family and I rest.

My friend is Luis, he´s thirty years old. Luis´s Spanish, he´s from Gran Canaria and he lives in Telde. Luis´s single, he´s a doctor, he has special qualifications, he wears a uniform and he earns a lot money. Luis works near his house and he goes to work by bicycle. He wakes up at half past six for he goes at work and he gets home late.

Luis likes reading, going to the cinema, to the beach, hasing a bath, relaxing, and he likes sports. His favorite books are about medicine, his favorite actor is Al Pacino, his favorite sport is football and his favorite beach is Las Canteras. But, Luis doesn´t like the politics, making the dinner, chinese food and cats.

Luis´s days off are at the Weekends. On Friday afternoon he goes to the cinema with his cousins, on Saturday morning he plays football with his neighbors and in the afternoon he goes for a walk and to have beers with his friends,on Sunday morning he goes to the beach with his family and in the afternoon he rests until Monday when he goes back to work.

My name’s Fatima ,I’m Spanish and live in the Canary Islands. I get up at about 7.10 have a small coffee with milk and watch the news on T.V. At nine I have breakfast in a coffee bar and walk to work. At eleven usually have some tea. I get home for lunch at 2.00. At afternoon I go shopping to the small shop to buy fruit and vegetables then I go to my mother’s house to make dinner. At night I do English exercises and relax before going to bed.

I have four brothers and three sisters.I’m married since 1974, forty years ago!! I have two sons: Adrian is thirty-three and Aday is thirty-one. I have worked in a shop forty hours a week since 1972 but now I only work forty hours a month because I want to have more free time to study English, play the guitar, read books and travel all over the world.

I like travelling very much and I have visited some countries like Russia, Turkey, Egypt, France,Italy, Scotland, Thailand and the last, Costa Rica, a very exciting and adventurer country.

I do sports, I usually go to pilates on Mondays and Wednesdays and walk for one hour three or four days a week.

I like all kind of music and I playing the guitar with some friends on Tuesday and Thursday. I am a geographer and a beautician but I work in a famous shopping center as a shop assistant in a luxury brand of parfums. I like very much my job…In this moment I study English language in an Official Language School. The next year I would like to study an Environmental Master.

I'm married with Valerio since 2008 but we are together since 1996. He´s from Italy and he is thirty nine years old. He´s a state agent and he likes sports and likes eating good food. Valerio hates doing nothing. We haven't got children but we have got a beautiful white cat, we love animals.

My favourite actors are: Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis and Jason Statham and my prefer film is “Cadena Perpetua”, I think it´s a fantastic film…At weekend I like going to the beach, going for a walk, doing a barbecue with my family and friends and that Valerio cooks for me…

On Monday, I get up at 6.30 am, then I have a shower and ten minutes later, I take a coffee with milk and a toasts with butter and jam; at seven o´clock I get dressed with my uniform and a few minutes later I go to English classes by bus. I usually finish my class ten minutes early and I walk to work…I start work at 10.00 but at 12.00 I need my second coffee… Normally I finish work between 14.40 and 15.00. I have lunch half an hour later and I always sleep 15 minutes while watch TV, I love it. In the evening I do the housework, and a few hours later I go to run… when I get home, I have other shower and I make the dinner with my husband…Then we speak while watch TV and we go to the bed at 23.00.

Hi! My name is Daniel Medina. I study administration and business management at university. I’m 26 years old. I live in Las Palmas. I have a girlfriend and her name is Anayansy.

Everyday I wake up at 6.00 a.m. and then I have a shower and after that I have a breakfast.

Every Monday and Wednesday I’m going to English classes by bus, these classes finish at 10.15 a.m. and then I do English and Economics homework.

I’m quite tall, but not very tall. I have short dark hair. I like basketball, it’s an amazing sport and I go sometimes to Gran Canaria Arena to watch the local team that it’s called Herbalife Gran Canaria.

Running is other sport that I practice, usually all days I go to the seafront to run from the Lady Harimaguada monument to marina, it’s nice! The best for this sport it’s practice everyday, day in and day out.

At this moment, I’m unemployed and I'm studying to be a policeman and learn English in my free hours.
