A Different Kind of Support, Centred Around Your Child

1. Welcome

We know that for many families, getting the right support hasn’t been easy. Too often, young people — and the people who care about them — have been seen through the lens of what’s going wrong, rather than building on what’s strong.

Noise Solution works differently. We’re here to offer a creative, relational approach that puts your child at the centre — not as a problem to be fixed, but as a person with passions, potential and a voice that counts.

You’ve been invited into this because you matter as part of this process. We understand that you are as important as us in this way of working and need to be genuinely involved. Your child is working with us, but together we’ll be building a digital story — a way for them to explore and express who they are, and for you to see and be a part of that journey in action.

2. What Is a Digital Story?

The digital story is a private, secure online space where (if they want to) we capture your child’s creative process and their thoughts about it over time. Each week it brings together:

• A short video reflection made with their musician mentor

• Clips and highlights from their music sessions — beats, lyrics, moments of pride

• Encouraging comments from trusted adults — That’s you!

You’ll receive a weekly link to click and watch, and comment. It’s not a progress tracker about what happened. It’s a way to celebrate them expressing themselves, and their growth - in a way where they fell seen.

3. Why It Matters

Our work is grounded in evidence — especially a well-established model called SelfDetermination Theory (SDT). It shows that for any person to thrive, three things really matter:

• Autonomy – having a voice, choice, and a sense of control

• Competence – feeling capable and valued

• Relatedness – feeling connected, seen, and supported

The digital story is designed to nurture those three needs — not through targets or reports, but through creativity, relationships, and meaningful recognition.

4. How You Can Be Involved

There’s no pressure or expectation here — just an invitation to connect in a new way.

Each week, you’ll get:

• A secure link to view their digital story

For better results we’d encourage you to:

• Leave a comment — just a few words, reflecting something you noticed or appreciated

• Ask us to invite another trusted adult, if your child agrees — someone they’d want to feel seen by

• Pop into a session — families are welcome to visit if it feels right

Everything here is optional. It’s about finding moments that feel authentic, not adding more to your plate. But what we do know is that the more people the participant feels ‘seen’ by and that are involved with their story - the better the outcomes are.

5. Writing a Supportive Comment (If You Feel Like It, we’d encourage it)

You don’t need to perform or say the “right” thing. Your child already knows your voice. A simple comment can be powerful — not because it ticks a box, but because it reminds them that someone in their world saw them, and noticed their effort.

Examples:

“You looked like you were really getting into it this week — love seeing that.”

“That beat was amazing — I can tell you’re putting so much into it.”

“You seemed proud of what you made — I’m proud too.”

Or even:

“Loved hearing your voice in this.”

It’s not about praise for praise’s sake — it’s about recognising their spark and making them ‘feel seen’.

6. Things That Help Us Make the Most of Sessions

We know life is complicated — appointments, fatigue, and everything else. But here’s what helps us support your child best:

• Consistency: Sessions are booked in advance. When your child can attend regularly, it builds momentum and trust.

• Letting us know early: If a session needs to be missed, we understand — just tell us as soon as you can, so we can plan accordingly.

• Staying connected: Watching the digital story helps us all stay on the same page. We’ll never chase, but your presence is felt when you engage. Page of 4 5

7. Final Thought

This isn’t a service done to you. It’s something we build with you — and with your child leading the way.

We’re here to walk alongside you — not to evaluate, diagnose or fix.

We want to create space for the participant to explore who they are, and to share that with the people who care most. The story is a great way to achieve all of that with you.

You’ve likely fought hard for your child to be seen fully. We see that — and we’re here to work with you.
