When properly used, Cordura Nylon reflective fabrics help enhance the visibility of the wearer in nighttime or low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source such as headlights, by returning the light back toward the original source and reaching the automobile driver’s eye.

While use of V-REFLEX LifeStyle Reflective Material - CORDURA Nylon Matte Finish Reflective Fabric on various type of end-use products, such as motorcycle clothing, active wears, etc. Customers and designers should pre-test the physical performance to determine all physical properties meet and fit end-user’s wearing and cleaning conditions.

The reflective layer is compose of micro-glass beads which is bonded to Cordura Nylon backing fabric via a kind of ecofriendly adhesive. Reflective layer may be wear out bit by bit as time going. Please read other parts of this article to learn the maintenance instruction.

Handling Precautions V-REFLEX LifeStyle Reflective Material. - CORDURA NYLON Matte Finish Reflective Fabrics contain an aluminum layer as part of their construction. Blemishing of this aluminum layer can occur if surface of the product has direct contact from hands during application and is then exposed to hot and humid conditions, greater than 26.7 °C (80 °F) and greater than 70% relative humidity, for a period of weeks. These blemishes do not affect performance of the product. But potential blemishes should be carefully considered as an important risk in marketing of end-use products.

Handling Precautions V-REFLEX LifeStyle Reflective Material. - CORDURA NYLON Matte Finish Reflective Fabrics contain an sand-feeling reflective layer which is bonded to a Nylon fabric via an eco-friendly adhesive. Chemical moisture, liquid, oil, or other chemical elements may lead to a series of chemical reactions for a certain period of time, then result in a series unexpected subsequence on the reflective layer of fabric. Any remains of chemical elements happen to direct contacting to surface of fabric should be cleaned immediately.

Cutting Die-cutting is recommended, although it can also be hand-cut or guillotined.

RF-HW9000 Matte Finish Reflex Series

For best results, reflective material – fabrics are recommended to use on prototype products, test the prototype products as per daily using conditions. While composing with other fabric to make clothing/products, we recommend the composing fabrics are in similar weight. 100% polyester thread is recommended for sewing reflective material - fabric. Use appropriate thread for desired applications.

For the best results, sew in place using a lockstitch and setting the proper stitches. Not less than 5/64" (2 mm) from the edge of the reflective fabric.

V-REFLEXTM LifeStyle Reflective Material - CORDURA NYLON Reflective Fabrics create comfortable, protective garments, so they are excellent choice for many sewing projects. However, Cordura Nylon reflective fabrics can be difficult to work with because they are relatively strong, thick and heavy.

To ensure that you get the best possible results when sewing Cordura Nylon reflective fabrics, choose an appropriate sewing machine, sewing needle, sewing thread. Especially the settings on sewing machine. Use some special techniques for working with Cordura Nylon reflective fabric.

V-REFLEXTM LifeStyle Reflective Material - CORDURA NYLON Reflective Fabrics are designed to produce non-occupational active wear, outdoor wear, casual clothing, in which, minimum reflective index values set by occupational standards are not required.

Customers/Designers are recommended to test the reflective value to meet their own collections and applications.

Screen Printing Prior to printing, wiping the surface with a soft cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol may help ink adhesion

Printed areas will not be retro-reflective.

Images may be printed on the surface of reflective material – fabrics. All inks should be continuously tested to ensure acceptable adhesion in the event of changes occurring in the manufacturing process or composition of the ink.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS V-REFLEX LifeStyle CORDURA NYLON Matte Finish Reflective Fabric RF-HW9000 Matte Finish Reflex Series

Washing/Cleaning conditions harsher than those recommended below could diminish the brilliance of the fabric and shorten the product’s lifetime significantly. The following instructions therefor must be strictly followed.

• No presoaking • No application of high alkaline products (e.g. heavy-duty product or stain removal products) • No application of solvenated detergents or microemulsions.

• No additional bleaches.

IMPORTANT Test each application according to appropriate care instructions required for the finished product.

Actual life of V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material Fabric depends on cleaning methods and wear conditions.

Wash Temperature range: 15oC - 40oC Max. wash time at highest wash temp.: 40oC in 10 min.

Max. programm time: 15 min. (gentle washing model)

Do not over dry.

Reflective fabric should not exceed 80 oC at any time during drying.
