What an owl-together great day out!

More than 30 giant owl sculptures, led by Owlbert, will hide in plain sight on the streets and in the parks of North London in the summer of 2024.

Decorated by local and national artists, designers and illustrators, the owls will form a family-friendly, fun trail of discovery for visitors to enjoy and explore.

Each sponsored sculpture will celebrate the vibrancy, culture, and creativity that North London has to offer. They will be on display for eight weeks in the late summer of 2024, highlighting iconic spots and hidden gems, and engaging with our local communities.

The owls will then come together in one place for a farewell event and live auction to raise funds for North London Hospice.

Big Fun Art Adventure will attract explorers, young and old, taking them on adventures around North London.

It is a special event that promotes the messages of courage, bravery and resilience and it will also champion health and wellbeing, bring businesses and communities together, and help boost our local economy, while showcasing North London as a place to visit, work, play and love.

How Big Fun Art Adventure will work

Ready for a hooting good time?

A feel-good campaign we can all be proud of, Big Fun Art Adventure will connect corporate, public and community partners around the city.

It will provide a new and uniquely creative avenue for collaboration, all while supporting North London Hospice.

New and established artists are invited to submit designs that will transform the blank owl sculptures.

These design concept submissions will be presented to sponsors who will each select their favourite.

The successful artists are then commissioned to apply their designs (ranging from traditional to new media, fine art to illustration, graffiti, and mosaic) to the sculptures.

Once all the owls are created, they will appear on streets, and in parks and open spaces, across north London to create an eight-week art trail in late summer 2024.

Visitors will explore the trail using a bespoke Big Fun Art Adventure mobile app. This will help people navigate around the borough, discover new places and there’s an opportunity for visitors to potentially unlock any exciting rewards and discounts provided by sponsors, driving awareness and traffic to our sponsors.
