The N2 level helps you build up your career easily in Japan and most people who have qualified the N3 level at least try once their luck to pass the N2 level. So, the competition is the highest at this level as are the rewards. The N1 level is the epitome of the Japanese language complexity and culture. A candidate who achieves this level has a perfect understanding of the Japanese culture. This level focuses on around 2,000 Kanji characters as well as around 25,000 new words. Although once anyone passes this level, acquiring a job in Japan is the easiest but only a few reach this height of language skill.
