INGFISHER Court Care Home officially opened its doors to the public in April 2017.

The state-of-the-art facility, located on Kingfisher Way, Sutton in Ashfield, provides all-inclusive luxury living for local older people requiring residential or dementia care. This stunning, purpose-built home is part of the Oakdale Care Group — a small, privately-owned company specialising in providing high quality care, in exceptional accommodation. Its ethos is simple — to provide the best care, every day, to every one. Co-owners Andrew Long and Chris Babington set out to build a residential care home to a standard that they themselves would be happy to live with.

“At our homes, your comfort, wellbeing, safety and security are paramount to us,” they said. “Our dedicated, holistic approach to care means that you are always treated as an individual, with dignity and respect. “We provide higher staff-to-resident ratios than most other care homes, with significant investment in the selection and training of staff, to provide the very best 24-hour care with warmth and respect.”

Leading the way in elderly care Kingfisher Court Care Home rated among the top 2% in the country KINGFISHER Court has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Currently only 2% of providers of adult social care achieve an overall “Outstanding” rating, making Kingfisher Court ranked amongst the very best in the country for the quality of service it provides. The report stated that Kingfisher Court’s “staff were motivated and committed to provide people with personalised experiences that exceeded their expectations.” It added that “the staff were passionate in their desire to enable people to experience excellent care.” The report recognised “there was a culture within the organisation of striving for excellence.” And it found that “staff went the extra mile to ensure people

lived their life independently and as fully as possible.” The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety, to help people choose care. There are five key questions they ask all care services, focusing on the things that really matter to people when choosing care: l Are they safe? l Are they effective? l Are they caring? l Are they responsive to people’s needs? l Are they well-led?
