New Jersey Staffing Alliance: Time to get social S
ocial media continues to play a larger role in companies’ and candidates’ job search strategies, according to Anthony Curlo, president and chief executive officer of DaVinciTek, who also is a member of the board of the New Jersey Staffing Alliance (NJSA) and a co-chair of its marketing committee. Quoting an article from a May workforce professional publication, Curlo said that one in three job seekers are using social media as their primary tool for job searching. Fifty percent of job seekers spend more than six hours per week using social media platforms, such as LinkedIn,
Twitter and Facebook. Fifty-nine percent of companies say social media hiring tools produce more applications and more referrals, and two out of three companies were expected to expand their social recruiting initiatives. The NJSA, with more than 175 staffing firms and industry partner members, has just re-launched its website, njsa.com, to enhance its social media presence.
