NittanyValleySymphony

State College, United States

The Nittany Valley Symphony, based in State College, Pennsylvania, is central Pennsylvania’s premier community orchestra. Professional and talented amateur musicians combine to form this community gem. The symphony was founded by the late violinist Ann Keller, who assembled a group of fellow musicians to perform at the first Arts Festival in 1967. In the decades that followed, the NVS has grown and now includes upwards of 70 musicians performing a full symphonic repertoire. As a community symphony, our musicians come from all walks of life. While their “day jobs” include everything from real estate agents to professors to small business owners to artists, they all share a love of creating beautiful music.
