PUBLIC ZONE
CONFINED ZONE
CONFINED ZONE
The vison behind thedesign was to cut-off the monotonous feel created by the usual government buildings, which refrains the common people from going there.

The design tries to be more holistic and interactive to the user, creating a healing environment and cutting off the chaos.
The waiting areas are enclosed from the southern side using vertical louvers, thereby letting in natural ventilation and lighting.
The staircase area is also well fused with the nature, creating a strong blend between the exterior and interior space.

To design a multifunctional space incorporating public, semi-public and private zones. The site is located in an urban area surrounded by roads on all the sides.
The site is located on MG road, Kochi. Residential and public government buildings along with small scale commercial spaces makes up the surrounding building typology.
There is an acute shortage of multipurpose theatres in the neighbourhood. Also providing hostel / temporary staying space within the building can be seen as a vital feature, which can be either used up by the guests or users of the theatres or the co-working areas.
