Community Based Project Involvement - Group
Supervisor - Ar. Bishowdev Bhattarai
This is an Community based project which aimed to research a community and derive a design proposal according to the community need.
For the community, a vibrant marketplace was needed which would help the local community to sell their products like organic foods, clothes and carpentry to tourist visiting Dhulikhel as the demand was enormous.
The main concept for the design was to create a open market place for only selected 4 products and a resting place when not in use. Also, it would act as a symbol to other villages to be designed using local available materials and the aim of the design is to create functional selling and buying experience.

The conservation studio was conducted at Kumbeshowr Temple complex at Patan. The documentation of temple complex was done with necessary report prepared for further conservation techniques.
The design Porposal of Information and learning Center was needed to cater the curosity of visitors visiting the Temple complex and it was also necessary for the local young minds to have a reading space where they can carry out their works and know about their culture too.
This shows the original structure which is open frame structure with water tank on the top. It had no relevant purpose around the temple complex as piped water supply is provided to every household.
