Dedicated to Sir C. V. Raman

Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, the Indian physicist who made his motherland proud by becoming the first Indian to win the Nobel Prize for Physics, was a scientist par excellence. He displayed a brilliant mind even as a child and passed his matriculation examination at a much younger age as compared to other students. With a series of experiments on the scattering of light which ultimately led to what came to be known as the ‘Raman Effect’ for which he won the Nobel Prize in Physics. The IACS entered a new phase with the emergence in the scene of C V Raman in 1907.

Again comes the year and here we are yet again bearing the thrilling excitement to present this 2nd edition of our very own Sanjeevani Magazine on the occasion of SPECTRA 2023.

Editorial Message

Over the last two and half decades, students of NIPER system have carved a unique niche for themselves in the arena of pharmaceutical research and development. Since 2007, the students of NIPER Kolkata are also contributing overwhelmingly. Success in pharmaceutical R&D calls for exemplary display of team spirit, patience, intuition with creativity, time management, and immaculate strategic planning.

The annual exhibits- Spectra and Sanjeevani – are the two versatile media wherein NIPER Kolkata student express their full creativity and unleash their potential in diverse fields of arts, culture and sports. SPECTRA 2023

This year, we had a range of astonishing and wonderful activities with the active participation of faculty members, administrative departments, and students.

A variety of sports activities were organized for game enthusiasts, including cricket, volleyball, badminton, athletics, carrom, chess, table tennis, and football.

Everyone displayed their individual as well as team spirit on the field, making it a wonderful time. We congratulate all the winners and extend our appreciation to those who participated. Students and teachers worked hand in hand and played a major role in making the sports week a cheerful voyage. In addition, we organized various indoor competitions such as painting, photography, and sketching to encourage the budding artists among our students. We received outstanding artistic compositions, and we are delighted to showcase them.

Last but not the least, the cultural events. Inauguration of cultural events, prize distribution and magazine release was done with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony. Everybody rocked their world with the breathtaking performances and ravishing fashion shows. The cultural events indeed flourished out the dancing divas out of the participants. The fashion show was so indulging that everyone walked their heart on the ramp. Spectra, full of colours, youth, and prosperity, was a time of togetherness that will always be cherished in the hearts of Niperians. Through this Sanjeevani magazine we wish to cherish and preserve these memories together and forever with us and within us .

NIPER supports not only academic excellence but also fosters the all-around development of students which includes physical and co-curricular activities. As we all know the magazine is the mirror of activities done in the institution throughout the year and has been compiled by vibrant activities of student’s team.

We have witnessed the enormous energy and participation which was visible during the entire SPECTRA 2023 week. This year we had the opportunity of sharing this joy and energy with the students of NIPER Hajipur as they have joined us in making this Spectra even more colorful and vibrant Our students of NIPER Kolkata and NIPER Hajipur hand in hand participated and made this event merrier than ever. Come and join us at Spectra 2023, A time to rejoice, a time to be free. A festival of sports, a festival of arts, the students of NIPER-K show their hearts.

From cricket to carrom, from badminton to race, The athletes compete with a smile on their face. Post docs, PhDs, Masters students too, All take part, and show what they can do.

But the games are just one part of the show, Because the cultural events soon start to flow. Dance, drama, and music fills the air, The moment students across India perform their share.

The traditional fashion show, a sight to behold, As students in their cultural clothes unfold. Competitions of painting and photography too, Where creativity flows and imagination comes true.

The Sanjeevani magazine gets published and released, A culmination of hard work and dedication unleashed. Anticipation and excitement amongst faculty and students alike, For Spectra 2023 promises to be a magnificent sight.

NIPER-K's fest, Spectra, is finally here, The campus rejoices with excitement and cheer. So let's come together, let's celebrate, The spirit of unity and creativity that we all create.
