Ingredients:

3 cups of wheat flour

1 cup of warm water (or a bit more)

3 tablespoons of oil (soybean, corn, or sunflower)

1 tablespoon of cachaça (or some type of brandy or firewater)

1 level tablespoon of salt

Wheat flour for kneading the dough preparation:

Place the flour mixed with salt in a bowl or on a table and make a well in the center.

In this well, add the oil, cachaça, and a bit of water.

Gradually mix the water and flour, each time taking a little more flour from the edge of the well.

When the dough is becoming stiff, add more water, and if it's too sticky, add more flour. The dough should be soft but may be slightly sticky.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough until it's very thin.

Fill as desired and seal with a fork or the back of a knife.

Fry in hot oil (not too hot) over medium-high heat and drain using a slotted spoon before allowing them to dry on absorbent paper.
