The aim of the Long-Term Ward 22 is to engage in long term rehabilitation in those clients who are unable to be rehabilitated in an intermediate setting and those who have been successfully rehabilitated in the intermediate setting but have not found social placement yet

Main Objective:
The aim of Rehabilitation Centre is to improve clients’ lost skills with special attention for vocational training targeting employment to produce a productive individual Services Offered:
Rehabilitation process is carried out in 4 levels o Level 1 – to improve basic activities of daily living o Level 2 – to improve extended activities of daily living o Level 3 – for vocational training (in addition; NAITA training center is functioning for Computer application assistant, Handcraft, Tailoring, Pastry and Baker) o Level 4 - to facilitate social re integration and employment



Highlights
A MOU signed between NAITA and NIMH regarding psychosocial rehabilitation of clients. Renewing the cooperation between the two state entities 22.10.2022

Community rehabilitation programme at Rajasinghe Vidyalaya,Col.08 was done by rehab group in with objective of improving mental and social wellbeing of teenage students in community.
Community visits were made to AGA office Kolonnawa, and community center Kolonnawa with the objective of improving mental well being of families living close by and to introduce carrier options.
Rehabilitation team conducted a rehabilitation training programme for clinical groups from Rathnapura and Kalawana.



The programme consists of a lecture on rehabilitation services and visits to different unit such as Nimhewana cafe,pathum piyasa,NAITA training class rooms,Navodaya DRC.

Hilton and NIMH combined sales project was conducted this year
