I was born and grew up in the Eastern part of Singapore. Parkway Parade holds my fondest childhood memory. This was the place where I hung out in the 80s – the magnificent waterfall, Yaohan the Japanese departmental store, and Burger King that had a small play area are some features at PP I don’t forget. Even though I have since moved to the West, I still come back to Parkway Parade. Almost every shop looks different now, except for Parkway Parade’s sign, which is something deeply etched in my memories. Melinda, 37

My earliest childhood memories involve going to PP on weekends and spending hours either at the bookstore, arcade or enjoying a meal with my family. Today, I regard PP as my ‘second home’ and my weekly trips there have never fail to disappoint me. I would like to suggest having recycling bins to be placed in PP. Currently the only recycling bins are placed outside, opposite the B1 entrance. I hope to see some of those bins in the mall to make recycling easier for the shoppers! When recycling is easier, it might get more people to be eco-conscious. Thank you. Charmaine Tay, 26

Albeit PP is a great place for family shopping spree (it has everything under one roof ), I must say that the lifts can drive me crazy sometimes. I visit PP almost every week as it is very near from my home. But to go from floor to floor, I have to walk to one end of each level to get to the lifts, as I’m always with my little one in her pram.
