Thank you for choosing Nightingale School for your child. Our reputation is based on an inclusive approach where every child thrives. We develop the whole child, focusing on mastery of literacy and numeracy alongside a bespoke curriculum for the arts, sciences and humanities. Engagement is at the heart of all we do with over twelve whole-class musicals relating to current topic learning performed each year giving every child a chance to shine. Outdoor learning is also a key aspect of our curriculum with Forest School in place for all children from NurseryYear 2 and annual camping residentials in years 4,5 and 6.
Our beautiful state-of-the-art facilities allow us to offer a unique curriculum experience based on practical, hands-on learning in dedicated specialist teaching spaces. These include a cookery room, drama studio, art workshop, rooftop science lab and outdoor learning area. Our classrooms are comfortable, airy spaces allowing our children to concentrate without distraction on their learning. The four beautiful outdoor spaces accessed for playtimes are designed to meet the needs of each age group whilst promoting physical activity and imaginative play.
I am supported by a highly experienced and creative team who are dedicated to meeting the needs of every child and allowing each to reach their full potential. Please explore the Curriculum section of the website where you will find detailed information about our curriculum and pedagogy. Under the ‘Parents’ tab there is also lots of useful information such as how to book in to our wrap-around care and where to buy our uniform.
We look forward to getting to know you and your child.

We try very hard to keep parents regularly informed about first aid incidents and medication administration at school. Sending paper notifications home can be rather ‘hit and miss with notifications often going astray along the way.
To help make improvements in these areas we have decided to use a service called Medical Tracker. Medical Tracker not only allows us to inform parents/ carers of first aid incidents and medication administration by email but it also allows us to analyse the data we record.
Medical Tracker will be beneficial to you because:
• We can record and track first aid incidents that involve your child
• We can record and track medication administration that involves your child
• You can be notified immediately after a first aid incident by email
• You can be notified immediately after medication has been administered by email
To use Medical Tracker effectively we will be using the recent emails we obtained from you. If you prefer a different email address to be notified, please inform the school office. These will be used to notify you of any incidents that involve your child.
Please be assured that Medical Tracker is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information you provide will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation.
Important – When we start using Medical Tracker, email messages will be sent from donotreply@medicaltracker.co.uk. Please add this address to your email address books (or approved sender list) to prevent messages from being blocked by your SPAM/JUNK filters.
Parents receive instant notifications when incidents or medication administration are recorded. Using Medical Tracker’s Parent Approve functionality, a simple email can will be sent to remind parents to confirm their child's current usage of medication, or to authorise the use of medications during school time.

Staying connected with parents and guardians is crucial for Nightingale Primary School's community.
To achieve this, we've harnessed the power of Mailchimp, a leading email marketing platform, to deliver our weekly school newsletters. With Mailchimp, we're able to create engaging and visually appealing newsletters that keep parents informed about upcoming events, important announcements, and essential updates on school activities.
Our newsletter features articles on student achievements, news from the classrooms, and reminders about important dates and deadlines. We also include links to online resources, such as access to our online parent portal.
By using Mailchimp, we're able to easily segment our email list and tailor our content to specific groups of parents, ensuring that everyone receives relevant information that matters most to them.
We're able to build stronger relationships with our parents and foster a sense of community at Nightingale.
We are excited to announce that we will have moved to Arbor in September 2024
Adopting Arbor will allow us to communicate with you more efficiently and bring all core school data and workflows into one system.
We are really looking forward to getting started with Arbor and we will let you know how to get access to the Arbor Portal App once your child is enrolled at the school.
Arbor also offers access to many training resources which are completely free for you to make the most of!
We hope you are looking forward to using this new feature as much as we are!
If you have any queries, please contact : Mrs Emel Ibrahim on eibrahim@nightingale.hackney.sch.uk
