Nice

Nice is the 5th city of France, connected to the country by an important freeway network, high speed train and the 3th French airport. However, transition zones between major arteries and peripheral tissues, irrigated by secondary roads, remain problematic, due to the specific geography of the region. Nice is located at the crossroads between coastal communications and different axes along most major valleys, such as the Var valley served by the N202 and the Paillon Valley. Nice must seize the opportunity by developing its lines of communication towards the main valleys, as these are the only potential directions for long-term development.

Reconnecting a lost territory

Plane view of the site 100m

The site is located between the different accesses of the freeway and the Ariane district represents major economic issues. This zone is the north-east entrance of Nice separated from the center of Nice. In a nearly future, a new connexion should be created by a new tram line. This project focuses on a cause that seems lost, a residual area after the ubiquitous infrastructure, northeast of Nice, near a sensitive area and under-equipped. The idea is to come reprogram inert by the establishment of a university center, tied to a pole multimodal spaces. This project revitalizes the area by providing a mix of uses and social diversity, while reconnecting the site to the city of Nice and territory.

Connexion between media library and museum 15

This project consists of a media library and a museum. Located on the historic terrace of Meudon, the project is inserted on a complex site with the desire to reveal the historicity of the place. The castle of Meudon took place on the terrace of Meudon but was burned in 1871. However the cellars of the castle still exist, and the project proposes to reopen these cellars by inserting a museum on the history of Meudon. This museum, located in a logic of cuttings, is connected via a piercing of the historic wall to a media library. This new equipment is expressed through a cantilevered volume, creating a contemporary visual landmark.

Housing

My concept was to create new attraction byan active densification. That means implant missing facilities, like cinemas, swimming pool, public library, and plug flexible housing. This project is thought as a new start for this less dynamic part of south suburbs of Paris. Programmatic axonometry 20

Perspective view on housing

This project is part of a discussion launched by UN-Habitat under the Affordable Housing Program, in partnership with Lafarge. The project Pasir Ris up to the edge of the Seine near the zac docks. To provide the city with equipment and especially housing, the project features 94 units placed on an equipment belt. The goal here is a new dynamic in this neighborhood.

The patio is now only used as the building central circulation. The project consists in working on the existing ground to integrate a terrace connected to the new cafĂŠ. The project proposes various postures possible, eat up, tables or smalls semi privative spaces, accompanied with a precise choice of furniture. The general line of the project is defined by circular small strips, alternating mineral and vegetable strips. Garden is composed by helxine, horsetail of Japan and of tree ferns.

Our line was to restore an identity appropriate to the important points of the building. The entrance hall, the gallery, the patio, the elevators landings, the waiting spaces as well as the roof, brings down used only for maintenance. Within the framework of my mission, I worked on 4 of these points; the hall, the gallery, the patio and the rooftop. Now the gallery is only a circulation zone in spite of the generosity of the available space and its closeness with a wide window giving onto the patio. Our line was here to recreate an interiority by setting up a waiting and reading, constituted by armchairs offering a certain intimacy.

Mission: Treatment of ground and garden Implementation of structured gravel Appreciation of the vegetable masses Creation of outer lounges spaces

The ground, compound by paving stones blocks, is covered by the stabilized gravel, allowing an accessibility to persons with reduced mobility. The gravel takes place on the terrace according to a composition in curves, alternating white and black gravel. The project plans to make the terrace more attractive by recreating outside lounges.

The patio plays an essential role in the building’s spatiality, being visible by wide windows. Longitudinal section 33

This project attempt to reconnect the city hall with the public space, by creating an esplanade. The main topic of this project is to modify Eaubonne’s city hall, to improve accessibility, because the main hall was not directly accessible to persons with reduced mobility. Eaubonne city hall is a building in concrete from the 60s. The main access is situated on specific topography, and was originally composed by a main stair. Later, an elevator was added to connect ground floor to 1st floor. But the access facilities needed to be improved, in regard of reduced mobility persons regulation. The project proposed to place a new elevator connecting 3 differents floor levels. The elevator’s top floor is distant from the original 2nd floor, so an outside footbridge was added, to connect the new elevator with 2nd floor. My work was to developp the outside footbridge structure and the articulation between footbridge and existing city hall floor. This section represent the materiality of the exterior footbridge. This section represent the materiality of the exterior footbridge. Glass panels railings are on both sides, to keep a notion of transparency.

Our concept was to work with a minimal installation to contrast with the rich interior decoration of the Louvre. By working with a florist, we created a flowers ground pattern, in attempt to remind Monet’s colors and restitute smells of Monet’s garden, in attempt to recreate the atmosphere he knew during his work.

Section 37

Inside perspective view

Adventure Japan is a company specializing in selling artisanal Japanese products with a high level of quality. The concept is to promote Japanese traditional handcraft. As a client, Adventure Japan was looking for a way to sell handcrafted products in a different way as usual stores. Our concept was to elaborate a way of exhibiting handcrafted products, by creating a scenography, like a museum. The space is contained in a 12m² zone, so we created a small exhibition room composed by lateral shelves and a central constellation of displays. We used the same wood as a construction material, to create a minimalist frame, contrasting with the diversity proposed by handcrafted products materiality and pattern.

For the Coach St Honoré luxu ry store project, amc² took the overall responsibility for the development of the space, responsible for the management, the coordination of work, interfaces and the synthesis My mission was to meet people from every building trades and professions, to collect and compare their plans, make the synthesisIMPLANTATION accord ing to the architect’s plans. I spent time on the construction site, to make survey, to correct various versions of the plans. This experience allowed me * to communicate with a lot of different building trades, finding ways to respect architect’s project and meeting deadlines, with both client and architect. The exactitude of my task was very important  because any approximation could degrade the specific construction of every building * *  trade, and generate waste of time and money. The most interesting part of my experience was to work * * with various building trades, and be able to have their specialists vision and opinion which gave me a distance * with architectural project, trying to make the project more efficient and constructible, in attempt to satisfy both client Sprinkler/lighting synthesis plan and architect. +2.74
