Blister packaging seems to be growing in popularity as pharma manufacturers look for solutions with heightened protection against oxygen, moisture and contaminants. Blister packaging machines seal products in a pre-formed cavity or pocket made from a formable web, usually made of PET (polyethylene terephtalate) or PVC (polyvinyl chloride).
