The Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network (ECCS CoIIN) was a five-year nationwide effort to improve outcomes in population-based children’s developmental health and family well-being, funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration’s (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) are partnerships between interrelated and interdependent agencies and organizations (representing physical and mental health, social services, families and caregivers, and early childhood care and education) striving to develop seamless systems of care for children from birth to kindergarten entry. As lead of the ECCS CoIIN Coordinating Center (CC), the National Institute for Children’s Health Quality (NICHQ) and its partners supported these efforts by serving as the backbone organization providing capacity building technical assistance (TA) to the ECCS CoIIN participants.
