Editor’s Welcome Firstly, it is fantastic to be back with you!

We were desperately disappointed not to bring you the Clarendon Edition over the past few months, given the exceptional circumstances in which we have all found decision to pause our magazine until the summer. We hope like us that everyone in the community and the local independent businesses are able to bounce back into the summer months.

Many local people and businesses had to keep everyone safe and the vast majority did so in a responsible way. I have been so impressed by the smaller independent shops that have been able to adapt quickly to new guidelines. Long queues outside of the larger supermarkets gave small convenient retailers the opportunity to provide services quickly offer delivery to the doorstep.

These have been a challenging few months for us all, and yet the coming together of the community has gone some way towards compensating for the strain and stress of lockdown, from acts of kindness to neighbours and strangers, to creative and fun fund-raising activities at home. Over the past few months, I have been struck by the roller coaster of emotions that I have experienced, and my friends and family have not been any different. One thing is for certain - no one I know has sailed through lockdown. I am looking forward to getting back to some kind of normality as soon as possible.

SIMPLE ACTS OF KINDNESS! I was asked the question recently “When was the last time I engaged in a random act of kindness?”. Engaging in acts of kindness can improve our mood, sense of well-being and give us a sense of purpose. Give engaging in a random act of kindness a go and see how you feel!

With many of us spending more time at home in recent weeks, getting out in the garden has provided an ideal way of killing time. Gardening is a proven way of improving our mental health and well-being.

Other than social distan cing and taking precautions, the process of selling or buy ing isn’t too different from what people are used to.
