Niagara University’s Literacy and English Language Learners program equips educators with initial certification to assess and support diverse learners, focusing on English language learners. This 46-credit program integrates reading and writing instruction, aligned to the science of reading, across the birth–grade 12 curriculum, preparing candidates to differentiate instruction based on literacy abilities and language development. The program can be completed in two and a half years, with financial aid options like graduate assistantships and scholarships available.
