The Premier’s Awards for outstanding college graduates honour the important social and economic contribution that graduates make to Ontario and around the world. The annual awards were launched in 1992, are administered by Colleges Ontario and highlight graduates from Ontario’s colleges who contributed in significant ways to the country’s economic prosperity and success.

Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) – National
This award recognizes students who show a clear understanding and application of the principles of Public Relations (PR) theory, demonstrates professionalism leadership in scholastic activities and is committed to pursuing a career in PR.

The awards recognize the talent of CPRS members and those of the wider community of professionals within the Public Relations industry. Niagara College’s graduates were recognized in the following categories:

Gold, Silver and Bronze - Skills Ontario Competition
The Skills Ontario Competition offers a unique opportunity for top students to demonstrate that they are the best of the best in their field.

place - Corvinus Undergraduate Business Experience (CUBE)
International business case competition held in Budapest, Hungary.
• Niagara College’s students from the School of Business and Management received the award in 2024.
7 winners - 2024 Applied Arts Student Awards
The Awards recognize creative excellence at the professional and student level in Canada and abroad.
• Seven Niagara College students were among the winners
1st place - Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)
Student Case Competition
Hosted annually, the competition challenges Human Resources students to tackle real-life business situations.
• Niagara College’s students from the School of Business and Management received the award in 2025 and 2023..
2nd and 3rd places - Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC)
Participants demonstrate their skills before industry professionals and are considered the best marketing students in Ontario. Niagara College’s students from the School of Business and Management won:

Silver and Bronze - Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC)
SCNC is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country.

10 medals - Ontario Wine Awards (2019, 2022, 2023)
The Ontario Wine Awards recognize the excellence and distinction of Ontario Vintners Quality Alliance (VQA) wines and pay homage to the dedication of small businesses, farmers, restaurateurs, and employees who contribute to the prosperity of Ontario. Here is a snapshot of Niagara College’s

3 medals – 2024 US Open College Beer Championship
The U.S. Open College Beer Championship is for student brewers enrolled at schools, colleges and universities that teach brewing courses. It is the only competition of its kind focusing on student brewers.
