Program Highlights
• Participate in live, interactive video classes with qualified Canadian instructors, certified by Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Ontario and TESL Canada.
• Engage in learning activities that integrate speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills, with a focus on practical, professional, and real-world communication tasks.
• Collaborate with fellow students, working on engaging, real-world tasks in a diverse, global student community.
Level Duration: 7 weeks
• Discover Canadian culture while learning English in a supportive and dynamic environment and connecting with students from around the world.
• Assess your progress through exit tests every 7 weeks, with the opportunity to move up one or more levels as your proficiency improves.
• Experience flexible learning that fits your lifestyle, accessible from anywhere in the world.
• Join the NC Community Online, including seminars, social events, and more.
• Receive a Certificate of Achievement after successfully completing Level 10.

Computer/Technology Requirements
• Microsoft Windows 10 based desktop or laptop system
• Minimum 256GB SSD storage and 8 GB memory
• An integrated or peripheral video camera, microphone and speaker system
• Reliable internet connectivity with a minimum download speed of 5 Mbps

Attendance in live video classes is mandatory with cameras ON!

Accepted Placement Assessments
English language proficiency tests are not required for placement assessment in the ESL Online level placement as students can complete the Envoy program placement test.
If students wish to submit their own English testing, please see the following list of accepted placement assessments:

• IELTS Academic

What Happens Next?
Receive an email from Niagara College with an:
• Offer of Acceptance
• Invoice with your tuition fees
If using your own English test results for level placement, please submit to esltesting@niagaracollege.ca after receiving your offer email.

Secure your seat in the program using your MyNC Portal.
Pay the amount indicated on your invoice by the due date outlined using Niagara College’s Tuition Portal to confirm your acceptance:

Take the Envoy program placement test if you will not be submitting your own English testing.
• Test results will be used to place you in the Level you will study for 7 weeks.

• In your classes, you will receive links to the digital resources you will use in your lessons.
