Cambridge Subjects ENGLISH
Throughout our school year, English has been important subject that we focused in. During our lesson, besides studying vocabulary and grammar as well as practicing the 4 important skills:” listening, writing, reading, speaking based on the learner’s book, there are also interesting activities that we’ve gone through.

Presentation Skills
At the start of the year, we’ve learned about the structure, design of slides and styles of speaking. These lessons have helped us a lot in other competitions and projects within a school year

Debate
Among the ESL curriculum, we’ve gotmanychangestoshareouropinionsabout social issues during the debating lessons, especially those about environment protections. During these lessons, we were divided into groups based on overall opinions about the issues: “strongly agree, agree, disagree, strongly disagree. Besides helping us in our speaking skills, these activities also helped us broaden our views by giving more perspective about particular problems
Writing Practice
Every Friday, we spend all 3 periods to practice our writing skills by learning aboutparagraphandessaywriting.Itisfair to say that this is a tough skill in English, but these lessons are very helpful for us achieving our goals in the future such as applying to universities or applying for a job. During these lessons, we’ve learned about types writing such as narrative, descriptive, persuasive and informative

Presentation project
One of the most significant project we’ve done within this year was the presentations about the pressure. In the age of puberty, we’ve gone through many kinds of pressure such as home pressure, performance pressure, school pressure ..…..Therefore, this project was realistic and meaningful to us. Throughout the project, we’ve learned about the causes, consequences and how to deal with each kindofpressure, whichplaysanimportant role in our maturing journey.
Diệu Linh, Yến Nhi, Han Vít, Giang My, Hoài An, Hải Phong – 8C1Cambridge Subjects MATHS

As students, we find Cambridge Secondary Mathematics to be quite demanding but incredibly beneficial. The coursework is rigorous, pushing us to think deeply and solve problems efficiently. Sometimes, the concepts can be difficult to grasp, but the satisfaction of solving a tough problem makes
it all worthwhile. The variety of topics covered gives us a wellrounded understanding of math, which is helpful for our future studies. Additionally, the structured approach helps build our confidence in tackling new challenges.

This year, the most interesting project that we would like to mention is Project of Unit 6 –Statistical Investigation. We had a project on collecting data. We had different topics and had to make hypotheses, collect data, present our data collection, and conclude.
For example, one group investigated whether “The more extra classes you take, the higher your score will be.”
Another group studied “Females have higher scores than males,” specifically in Literature. After this
project, we gained more experience and became more confident in our data analysis skills. We also had the chance to make new friends through the data collection process. This project was very fun and educational, and we had a great time.
Overall, although it can be tough at times, I believe that studying Cambridge Mathematics is preparing me well for the future.
Han Vít, Giang My, Hoài An, Hải Phong – 8C1Cambridge Subjects SCIENCE
Science is quite a difficult subject because there is a lot of knowledge to remember. Still, our classmates not only do not get bored but also find it very interesting because Mr. Dale shares information clearly and simply. To make the class more enjoyable, he has added many interesting and useful videos that engage students in the lesson.
Experiments
For students to imagine the experiments, the school had us go to the lab and apply the real-life lessons. During the lab sessions, we get to explore more of the lab equipment, learn about hazard symbols, and see what scientists do in the lab. It sounds exciting and makes us feel eager and keen to get involved.

Projects
As mentioned, Science is a challenging subject, so to increase our ability to remember and understand the lessons, teachers have integrated projects into the curriculum. Among them, our favorite project was “Testing the Reaction of Metals in Water/Acid/Gas.” This project was well-organized for us, and we did a very good job in that lesson. It helped us learn a lot about the reactivity of metals; for example, potassium is more reactive than copper.

Things we liked the most
In Science, the experiments we liked the most were in Unit 3.2 - Heat and Temperature. We liked that unit because it was exciting and easy to understand the lesson’s content. In addition, our teacher, Mr. Dale, is hilarious and makes everything clear and straightforward.
Phương Thảo, Thiên Nga, Bảo Như, Khánh Long - 8C1Extra curricular activities
FIELD
TRIP
Through our field trip to Bat Trang, we’ve got the chance to learn about models of businesses. Also, we’ve got an approach to the business subjects by analyzing the model using the SWOT method: “strength, weakness, opportunities, threats”. This project has been really appealing to us and has helped prepare for business classes in 9th grade.

Extra curricular activities
TẾT NHÂN ÁI

“Tet Nhan Ai” is considered the oldest and most distinctive activity of Greenfield School. This year, 8C1 was assigned to sell Vietnamese rice paper – one of the most popular food among youngsters. Therefore, we were able to get some profits to then help students in difficult circumstances. This was not only a chance for us to do meaningful things, but also helped us in applying our knowledge from Mathematics to a realistic “business”.

Extra curricular activities CULTURAL LESSONS
This year, we celebrate several important events with cultural lessons. These lessons are so helpful not only because they give us time to relax on special occasions, but also they give us information and knowledge about the history, cultures in other countries.

Halloween
We celebrated Halloween in a Science lesson, where we got to make up the end of 3 stories and see who got the most interesting one. After that, we have a horrified experiment to do with eyes, baking soda and eyes.

TetThis is probably the most important event in the year, so we celebrated it in every Cambridge lesson. We answered quizzes, drew posters, watched videos about this special time of the year. We heard our teacher – who did not experience this culture for his childhood - sharing opinions about the event. Lastly, we have some time to relax after a challenging year.

COMPETITIONS
Throughout our school year, there were many different competitions held by school. No matter how big or different they were, SC1 has been participating in almost every competition. Even if we receive a prize or not, we were still proud that we’ve tried our best.
To start off the year, we participated in the “Discipline is the power” competition. It was about designing a poster about discipline at school. The poster was about pod, and we’ve got second place in grade 8. Throughout the competition, we’ve got many chances to find out the consequences of using pod or vape, which help us a lot in protecting ourselves.

Greenfield Debating Champion
Not long after the discipline poster, we attended another competitive and compelling activity:” Greenfield Debating Champion”. From all the wounds that we’ve gone through, we’ve seen the ebullient energy and spirit of the other debates. Therefore, we were greatly inspired to other be more confident and freely share our thoughts about the motions given. The competition played an important role in developing our skills and awareness about the society.

Greenfield Talk
Right after English Debating Championship, a freshly new competition was held, being inspired by the Ted talks series- Greenfield talks for the first season. During the competition grade 8 – students came through an entrance round, in which we were separated into pairs to give a talk about a particular social issue. 16 most outstanding speakers was then be chosen to enter the final round. At the end, they were given prizes based on the assessment of the judges, and our class repress entative got the consolation one. As the judges were speaking experts, we’ve gained so many skills 2 knowledge throughout the activities.

Merry Runway
After 2 academic competitions, we’ve got the chance to express our abilities in art and fashion as well as celebrate Christmas by the competition Merry Runway:” fashion design” During the competition, we’ve got to design Christmas related outfits and perform them in a couple catwalk. Besides satisfying our interest in fashion, this competition also enhanced our confidence and courage to perform in front of the public. As our designs were 100% handmade, we got the impressive prize from the judges.

Let’s debate!
Viet Nam’s sea & island
To enhance our knowledge about Viet Nam’s territory, the “Viet Nam’s sea and island” competition was held in the midterm 2 of the school year. This activity is based on the combination of knowledge from 3 subjects:” Literature, Geography and History”. This unique combination brought us to a competitive learning activity. Through 4 rounds of the competition, which are presenting a play, doing crossword, betting points and answering questions. These entertaining activities were great chances to us to learn these 3 subjects more effectively as well as understand more about Viet Nam.

After a week of practicing and preparing, we’ve won 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 consolation prize.

After our mid-term 2 exams, we were back with one of the most exciting activity, which is debated. Thanks to the skills and experiences from the English Debating Championship as well as our well preparedness for the debating rounds, we’ve got the third prize in the competition. As this was the result of so much effort, we were so proud of ourselves for stepping out of our comfort zone as well as being self-promised for further development in our debating skills.

Greenfield Olympic
Greenfield Olympic has now become a signature activity of our school. For over 10 sports held, this competition was a great choice for us to not only express ourselves, but also prove our love in sports. Since this activity was so interesting and compelling, we’ve got some certain achievement:
- Silver medal in make’s football
- Gold medal in STEAM
- 4 gold medals and 3 silver medals in swimming - Bronze medals in athletics
We’ve also participated in female’s football and basketball. Although there are some sports which we didn’t win any prizes, there were great memories as well as selfdeveloping opportunities.

d Our best memories

Another school year has passed, leaving behind many great memories. We were together through tears and sorrows, facing challenges and difficulties, and everyone was also there to see the tears of joy, celebrating victories. Those memorable emotions are thanks to the experiences that the Cambridge teachers gave us.
Among these experiences, the monthly challenges organized by Cambridge teachers are worth mentioning. These challenges gave us the opportunity to express ourselves by doing DIY projects and helping younger students make things they want on special occasions. For Christmas, we worked with 2nd-grade students to create a Christmas tree and Santa Claus using paper disks, cotton, and colored pens. The challenge not only gave us the chance to apply what we had learned in the Art subject but also to do something meaningful.
