Seminars Promote Success of Entrepreneurs Lilian de la Torre-Jimenez

A group of excited entrepreneurs celebrated the successful completion of a five-week workshop as part of the NHBWA “How to Develop a Successful Business” series taught in Spanish. The series prepared the business owners from Orange County in the following areas: finances, marketing, business development plans, strategies to increase sales, time management and more.“We hope that the classes offered a solid foundation for starting a successful business. We had participants from various industries which made the classes very engaging for everyone,” said Elisabeth Pechs, OCSBDC business consultant and the instructor of the business series. NHBWA offered the no-cost five-week classes during the months of August and September. The funding for the entire series was made possible by a partnership with United Way of Orange County, Union Bank, and the Orange County Small Business Development Center (OCSBDC). “We are grateful to our wonderful partners. Together, we are able to maximize our efforts and provide business insight to community members that want to begin or build their business,” said Yobany Banks-McKay, NHBWA President.
