The difference between knitted denim and woven denim
Firstly, from the point of view of dyeing, woven denim yarns require sizing, knitted denim yarns do not. In terms of raw material selection, knitted denim yarns have a relatively low twist and a high cotton content. In contrast, woven denim yarns have a higher twist and often have slightly lower cotton content.
If used for wefting or weaving on the machine, knitted denim yarn can be used for woven fabric, but woven denim yarn cannot be used directly for knitting on the machine because the twist will cause twisting and surface faults. Even if the knitted fabric is barely woven, the twist will cause the overall weft slope to exceed the standard, which is not conducive to garment cutting and sewing. This can lead to serious twisting and other undesirable consequences.
