Established TOHOGENKAI. Tohogenkai is the first and only trading company providing professional seaweed in Vietnam. TOHOGENKAI’s goal is to bring seaweed to the meals of Vietnamese and worldwide.

Established a production factory in Hanoi City. The factory marks a new development step for the company, directly producing quality products to bring to consumers. 06/2023 03/2022 03/2023 05/2021

Established a production factory in Long An Province. The factory has a modern production line system that meets international standards, providing quality products.

The first containers of seaweed are produced and distributed. After a short time, the distribution system has covered all provinces, supermarkets, agents, and local stores. 01/2023 09/2021

Establishment of GENKAI Kitchen, was founded with the mission of disseminating the tradition of seaweed consumption among the Vietnamese populace.

TRADITIONAL TRADE DISTRIBUTOR

Start building the distributor network from the end of 2022. GENKAI has quickly developed the distributor network in the Northern provinces. By mid-2023, we had distributors nationwide.

SUPERMARKET

Since its early days of establishment, GENKAI has been included in major supermarket chains nationwide such as Winmart, Go!, Emart...

MOTHER & BABY RETAILER

Traditional stores will be exploited by GENKAI from the end of 2022. To date, there are thousands of stores nationwide distributing GENKAI products.

E-COMMERCE

We built a store on the Shopee E-Commerce platform in 2023. Up to now, our products are available on Shopee, Lazada and Tiktok Shop.

CONVENIENCE STORE

We are gradually bringing GENKAI’s products into convenience store chains, typically: Family Mart, GS25, 7-Eleven... Many traditional markets nationwide are distributing GENKAI products, especially seaweed snacks.

GENKAI Seaweed - A gift from the ocean for human health

The marine region where seaweed thrives is where the benevolence of nature converges most favorably, with vast tidal flats. The sea must be filled with water from numerous rivers, carrying nutrients from the mountains on the mainland. It must be a place of special ocean currents, creating tidal differentials, where freshwater from rivers merges with seawater, creating an optimal salt concentration for cultivation.

SEASONED SEAWEED

Seasoned seaweed includes 2 typical flavours: traditional seasoned seaweed and green seasoned seaweed. We provide various types of flavours such as: little oil and salt, little oil and unsalted green seaweed in order to adjust consumers’ preferences while also ensuring their health.

SEASONED SEAWEED FLAKES

Seasoned seaweed flakes is a good combination to use with everyday dishes. The product provides convenience and diversity by offering four flavors to enhance the flavor of the dish, including traditional, seafood, vegetables, and soybeans.

PREMIUM SEAWEED YAKINORI

GENKAI’s premium seaweed yakinori is harvested from clean water in the Southwest of Korea. Premium seaweed yakinori meets all the criteria of a high quality seaweed: dark green color, crunchiness, aroma, moderate saltiness and have a natural umami scent.

DRIED WAKAME SEAWEED

GENKAI dried wakame seaweed is farmed in Wando County, one of Korea’s cleanest water sources, aadding the perfect delicious taste to a nutritious meal. Furthermore, GENKAI dried wakame seaweed never loses its unique crispiness after cooking.
