Student Highlights

Ginger Jones is a recent Adult Education graduate from Fannin County. After watching her daughters pursue their education, her family told her that since she supported them it was time for them to support her dreams. She will begin NGTC on the Blairsville Campus in fall 2024 pursuing a degree in Social Work. She hopes to eventually work with children, elderly, and homeless individuals.

Sharon Adam has overcome so very much in her life but came to the White County Learning Center still lacking self-confidence. She has applied herself to her studying for her GED and, even after undergoing surgery, has persevered, and continued her studies. She has already passed 2 sections of her GED and is on her way to becoming a GRADUATE. Her self-confidence level has soared!

This milestone marks the beginning of a promising journey, and we are immensely proud of this achievement. Our next course will be held in September.

“My mom really wanted me to do this camp and once I got here, I began to learn to weld, and I really loved it. I have never welded before, but it has come naturally to me. This experience may have changed my mind about my future career.
