Veteran Leader Umraomal Purohit No More T he veteran Trade Union Leader, AIRF President and Secretary/JCM Staff Side Mr. Umraomal Purohit has passed away after brief illness at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai at early morning hours on 27th February, 2014. Late Umraomal Purohit was a knowledgeable, efficient and honest leader who led not only Railway trade union movement but also working class of this country in various capacities. He has been very cordial and friendly with the organizations of different denominations and ideologies. A towering personality, late Umraomal Purohit has always pursued for unity among trade unions and towards achieving results, he has done lot of work. With 3-1/2 decades service in the capacity of Secretary/JCM Staff Side, late Umraomal Purohit has been successful in negotiating with the Government for the betterment of 36 lakh Central Government employees.
