We Should Perform or We Will Perish : Railway Minister R ailway Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda urged upon the General Managers, Divisional Railway Managers to ensure dedicated and focused team work for improving aspirations of people. In the meeting of GMs & DRMs of Indian Railways at National Rail Museum, New Delhi on June 19, 2014, Mr. Gowda said that every one should work to build strong and vibrant India. He further said that GMs/DRMs should feel that they are the “Ministers, they are the Chairmen” and lead the team for achieving best results. The Railway Minister said that every employee from top to bottom should work together and cautioned the officers and employees that issues cannot be solved by conventional thinking and excuses cited for non-performance will not be tolerated. He further said that the Indian Railways stand much behind efficiency and punctuality and every one should question to himself whether the Indian Railway can be made “best in the world.” He told the officers that with change of Government there should be “change of direction”. NFIR Affiliates condoled the Sudden Demise of Shrimati Guman Singh National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) affiliates conveyed their condolences to NFIR President Guman Singh on the sudden demise of his wife on 12th June, 2014 at Jaipur. Many cadres of NFIR reached Jaipur and shared the grief and consoled NFIR President. NFIR General Secretary, M. Raghavaiah conveyed condolences to Guman Singh telephonically from Hyderabad. Smt. Raghavaiah also expressed shock over sudden demise of Smt. Guman Singh and conveyed condolences. NFIR/IRW places on record its deep sense of shock over the death of Mrs. Singh.
