"To value and respect ourselves and the community while learning and growing."
Education is a powerful tool - a key that unlocks worlds of possibilities. At the Contoocook School, we believe that everyone - regardless of ability or personal circumstance - should have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We understand that people are social and have a deep-rooted desire to belong, so we create positive, pro-social opportunities where students can turn for a sense of belonging. We believe that with the right support, teaching, coaching, and nurturing, everyone can achieve their goals.
The Contoocook School is committed to teach the skills needed to open new doors and opportunities for our students.
"The Contoocook School is more than just a school- it's a community. We provide a safe, supportive environment where students can transcend their labels, grow from their strengths and soar to heights they never thought possible

"Two years ago, we were at the lowest of lows. You took our son in and provided him with a safe space and accepting community, neither of which he ever had during his time in school. He felt part of something. He bonded. He felt seen and heard... Two years later, and we have seen tremendous growth. Thank you. Thank you for opening your doors and your hearts to our son. Thank you for pushing through his hard days, even when we didn't think we could. Thank you for always believing in him."
