ABOUT NFA

National Franchisee Association (NFA) has been serving the BURGER KING® franchisee community through advocacy, education and training, networking and member-focused programs, services and benefits since 1988. NFA has headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and has a government relations office in Washington, D.C., that provides vital support and assistance to the franchisee community at large.

NFA works with member franchisees, system suppliers, business partners and BURGER KING Corp. to promote franchisee growth and success while heightening the brand’s leadership position in the industry.

ADVOCACY

The BURGER KING Franchisee PAC aims to raise and use funds to support pro-business/pro-industry candidates. The PAC has proven to be one of the best tools for advocacy in addressing and challenging issues that impact BK® franchisees and ensuring NFA members’ voices are heard both at home and in our nation’s capital. A portion of funds are put toward forming and growing relationships between the NFA Government Relations Committee (GRC) and key lawmakers in Washington, D.C. The mission of NFA’s GRC is to preserve and enhance the legislative and regulatory climate for BURGER KING franchisees by providing services and representation. Our advocacy efforts include monitoring legislative and regulatory activity; conducting lobbying and grassroots campaigns; participating in national coalitions; providing legislative summaries and action alerts; and promoting positive relations between franchisees and government officials.

COMMUNICATIONS

NFA uses several methods of communication to keep you updated on the latest brand and industry news. Members receive weekly News You Can Use e-newsletters, the quarterly Flame publication, the annual Franchisee Directory and the annual Products & Services Directory. It is our hope to provide access to relevant and useful information to help our franchisees achieve success.

EDUCATION

Our goal is to enrich the professional development of our members and equip you and your employees to advance the growth of the brand. NFA provides tools crafted specifically for the education and betterment of franchisees and their teams, including the CORE (Cultivate. Organize and Prioritize. Relate and Communicate. Execute.) Leadership Training Program. Geared for BURGER KING franchisee managers, CORE is an adaptive, leadership program with 80+ certified trainers. The NFA Leadership, Exploration and Development (LEAD) Conference is a premier opportunity for NFA members to develop and inspire their management teams and above restaurant leaders in a collaborative, group setting. NFA members and their teams can take advantage of face-to-face time with industry leaders, keynote speakers, fellow franchisees and managers of all levels. The 2025 NFA LEAD Conference will be held June 23-26, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida.

NETWORKING

Many opportunities await throughout the year for franchisees to gather together and network, including regional meetings during which members of the various Regional Franchisee Associations can access a platform for comprehensive updates and informational sessions facilitated by leaders of the BURGER KING franchise community.
