It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our Consultant Directory for 2024. As the Chief Executive of New Victoria Hospital, I am delighted to showcase the talents and expertise of the clinical Consultants featured in this directory, together with the Hospital’s exceptional services.
In healthcare, the role of clinical Consultants is paramount. These individuals are the driving force behind the continuous improvement of patient care, the advancement of medical practices, and the overall enhancement of our healthcare delivery. The Consultants listed here are experts in their respective fields and passionate advocates for elevating the standards of care and patient outcomes.
Our commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare services is reflected in the collaboration with these esteemed clinical Consultants. They bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and innovative solutions to address the complex challenges faced by healthcare organisations today. Through cutting-edge medical technologies to evidence-based clinical practices, the Consultants featured in this directory are dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare.
We are a charity owned Hospital and have been providing excellent, patient-centric care for over one hundred and twenty-five years, and our size allows us to be responsive, innovative and to provide personalised care through a team approach. Whilst we have a
fantastic infrastructure, it is the dedication and experience of our staff and Consultants that is the secret to our success.
In 2023, we celebrated the Hospital’s 125th anniversary since its foundation in 1898. On this occasion, we launched our Community Champion Initiative to offer £125k of free medical care to patients in need, who will receive diagnostic tests and treatment free of charge throughout 2024. New Victoria Hospital’s charitable activity is also channelled through our parent charity, The Victoria Foundation, that transform lives by providing life enhancing medical assistance and equipment to children, the elderly and medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Thank you for entrusting us with your patients’ healthcare needs, and for joining us in celebrating our commitment to excellence showcased in the Clinical Consultant Directory for 2024.
On behalf of everyone at New Victoria Hospital, I would like to thank you for your continued support.

Our “One-Stop Breast Clinics” provide a thorough breast screening service. Using the gold standard triple assessment method, patients receive an accurate breast screening diagnosis for any symptomatic presentations.
Triple assessment includes:
• Clinical breast examination
• Mammogram, ultrasound, or both
• Fine needle aspiration or needle core biopsy if appropriate
Tomosynthesis may be advised following a mammogram and has been shown to reduce false positives and improve accuracy, especially with women who have denser breast tissue.
Further biopsies may be warranted such as stereotactic or vacuum biopsies. These are performed on a separate day.
Magseed® Marker and the Magtrace® Lymphatic Trace.
At New Victoria Hospital, we offer two cutting-edge breast care diagnostic services: Magseed and Magtrace. Our specialist Breast Surgeons use Magseed for accurate lesion removal during Lumpectomy surgery and Magtrace to localise the sentinel lymph nodes. We provide patients with the leading standards of breast cancer care, with straight-forward paths, from diagnosis to treatment and after care.
Diagnostic techniques and methods may vary according to age, sex and clinical presentation.
We are a BUPA Accredited Breast Care Centre and as such, rigorously audited for quality.
