We welcome Burtonwood Bridge down this week which I am sure will be a intense and exciting game. With limited pitch time the group have applied the right attitude and character in training which is now showing on game day. This played a key part in our first win of the season against a strong Ashton Bears A last week. It was a proud moment to see the guys close out the game. The approach to defence was great as they had implemented what was worked on that week. The amount of times we had to defend was testament to that, although we did put ourselves in that predicament, which the guys know needs to be worked at and made cleaner. In attack we are showing some real good flare which is exciting to see, with more time with each other this will only get better. With the quality of squad depth we have, each Saturday requires some real tough calls for the coaching team in relation to selection, we are really happy the lads are making selection such a challenge. Keep up the hard work. COYS

A proud moment for Matty and his family as he made his debut for Salford U16s. Superb rewards for all his hard work over the years. Matty was solid in his debut grabbing a try and a stand out in defence.
Our U9s put on a very brave display today. They played against a very big side this morning but got stuck in and gave it their all. Can’t ask any more of the kids today.
Our U11s showed an improvement on last week’s outing. Nice to see an almost full squad today. After a couple of weeks off the pitches training with the weather, our defence was shown up and we suffered against a better team. Some positive attacking performances shown.
The U12s lads gave 100% in a tough game this morning. They didnt really have much ball but there was some real positives when they did have it. Few things to work on in training going forward. Onto the next game.
A dominant performance from our U13s today. They stepped up in attack and in defence. A MoM performance from everyone. Well done to Sam & Aaron for getting Man of the Match from the coaches and opposition.
4 from 4 for the U15s but boy did we do it the hard way today. Lack luster performance across the board with lack of discipline with the ball. Having said that the discipline in defence was clear to see. A good large Crosfields side ran hard with good shape but apart from a few occasions our defence held out. Work to do with our ball carrying technique and pushing with play to clean up our go forward which will take the pressure off the defence. Eventually some good play got us over the line.
