T
he Nigerian government has resumed the process of auc-
tioning the 2.6-gigahertz frequency spectrum band in the nation’s telecommunications market, New Telegraph gathered yes-
terday. As such, the telecoms industry regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC),
will soon release a new guideline or Information Memorandum (IM) on the spectrum to guide its eventual licensing.
The IM will define the process that the commission has decided to adopt for the licensing of 2x70 Megahertz (MHz) paired
