Blueberry opposition at Council’s first meeting of 2024 By Ned COWIE FOR the fourth time in as many months, the general meeting of Nambucca Valley Council was overrun with residents and visitors concerned about commercial, industrial-style blueberry farming in the valley. A noisy crowd attended last Thursday to hold Council to account and to request faster action on the issue and its subsequent land-use conflicts. Despite there being no allowance for members of the public to interject during Council meetings, the crowd frequently spoke over speakers and called out from the public gallery during the first half of

Council’s Community Satisfaction Survey to begin in February

NAMBUCCA Valley Council will spend $24,900 on a community satisfaction survey to be conducted by Sydney-based Taverner Research
Group (TRG) in the first half of 2024. A draft of this survey was presented to Council members at the general meeting last Thursday.
