‘Coastal Memories, A life by the Water’ ‘COASTAL Memories, A life by the Water’, is an exhibition of paintings by Galleries In the Gardens member Jan JohnsonFurness. It opens on Wednesday 2 March and closes Monday 28 March 2022 at The Gallery in Tea Gardens. Now an octogenarian, Jan has been painting most of her life. Her passion for painting a variety of styles and subjects has always kept her love of painting
alive and exciting. We couldn’t help but ask Jan how many paintings she thought she would have produced so far. “I couldn’t even guess,” she said, “but I began painting when I was about five years old and painting has been a passion all my life”. “I have been involved with the world of art in many ways and have enjoyed every minute of it, however, this is my first and probably my last solo exhibition, although I have exhibited in many
