Star Struck shines on

STAR Struck took to the stage this week for their 25th year, with their combined schools mass performance events entitled ‘Shine on’. Our own Irrawang High School also celebrated their 25 year involvement with Star Struck, as they were in the very first production with choir and dance students. Wirreanda Public School and Medowie Public School also both had students participate this year.
Star Struck is a performing arts extravaganza presented by the Hunter area of the NSW Department of Education. They invite students within their school groups and also small group and solo artists, to take part in a production involving every kind of performance art and creative outlets you could imagine. This year there were matinees on Friday and Saturday, as well as evening shows.
Lue Fagan from Irrawang High School told News Of The Area, “Our dance and drama students rehearsed for months, and we also had a selected group of our students asked to perform in small regional ensembles, which was a huge honour.” “We all know how amazing our Drum Corps are, and they were once again invited to provide pre-show and half-time entertainment.” “The performers from all
