Proudly serving Grimsby, Lincoln, West Lincoln & Winona Four set out, two completed rare trail marathon By Mike Williscraft NewsNow While most were still snug in their beds, a fearsome foursome set out from the parking lot at Grimsby Lions Pool on Saturday night to embark on an epic trek. The goal was to complete the 80-plus-km Niagara Section of the 885km Bruce Trail. Franck Healey, 70, Dan Wilson, 51, Margaret Corner, 59, and Ruth Moffatt, 54 comprised the team. In the end, Corner and Moffatt achieved their goal at just before 11 p.m,. Sunday night reaching the end of the line in Queenston. “Many people have hiked the Toronto section (50km) and Dufferin Hi-Land section (56km) in one day but very few have hiked Niagara in a day,” said Moffatt. “Especially when you consider the 30-degree plus temperatures of Sunday, but that is exactly what we set out to do.” See HIKE, Page 3
