Energy forum hears cost-saving tips By Mike Williscraft NewsNow Key facets of energy conservation, tips on reducing bills and potential electricity alternatives for business operators were all part of a business forum hosted by Lincoln Chamber of Commerce last week. More than 50 business operators ranging from greenhouses to retail

and large industry to trades - were on hand at the Ramada Beacon Harbourside in Jordan. Panelists for the symposium, conducted jointly with the Grimsby and West Lincoln chambers of commerce, included David Arkell of 360 Energy, Steve McGill of Enbridge Gas and Tim Clutterbuck, president of ASW Steel in Welland.

Arkell, whose company’s mandate is to serve clients as a comprehensive and effective energy manager, said his company works witih businesses whose energy expenses range from $500,000-$2 billion. “The energy file is a disaster,” said Arkell, noting that smaller electricity users are “paying the freight”.
