Up Front Santa set to roll into Smithville
Niagara West residents can get their first official look at the jolly old elf himself this Saturday when Santa Claus rolls into Smithville. The Smithville Santa Claus parade starts at 2 p.m. at the Community Centre grounds before proceeding along Hwy. 20 (West St.) to Griffin Street North, turning right at the stop light, proceeding along Canborough Street, pastTown Hall and ending at the intersection of Canborough and Townline Road. Watch for food drive bags Dec. 5
Grimsby Firefighters Association is set for its annual GBF food drive and NewsNow and Deliveries Unlimited are ready to help. Next week, the Dec. 5 NewsNow and its package of flyers will be inserted into the special food drive bags (Grimsby only) for residents to bring and hand to firefighters at the Grimsby Santa Claus Parade on Sat., Dec. 7.

It was soup to nuts at Grimsby town hall By Mike Williscraft NewsNow It was a soups to nuts menu at the inaugural Mayor’s Information Night at Grimsby town hall on Monday night. The event – which was created when an oversight dismissed the crowd before the Mayor’s Breakfast question and answer period last
month – will become an annual event, says Mayor Jeff Jordan. “We wanted to make sure the public had an opportunity to get in any and all questions. We got a wide range of questions and a great turnout, so we are planning to do this annually,” said Jordan. “We will also do a council-
lors night as well.” With Richard Dunda, a member of the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee, taking on the emcee duties, a lengthy series of questions was put to Jordan, town staff and councillors. Questions were largely submitted via the Town’s website but the session was
